FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'll start out by quoting David Haigh, CEO Brand Finance -Brands have three primary functions* NAVIGATION-Brands help consumers choose from a bewildering array of choices REASSURANCE- Brands communicate the intrinsic quality of the product or service and reassure customers that they have made the right choice. ENGAGEMENT-Brands use distinctive imagery, language, and associations to encourage customers to IDENTITY with the brand. IDENTITY refers to the visual representation of a brand and is usually anchored by a strong logo. This is the part I specialize in, by creating a visual system that will help shape the expression of a brand. Most common deliverables I design are logotype or marks, brochures, stationery, website design, ad campaigns, imagery, illustrations and identity guideline manuals. All of these touch points help create an emotional connection, and reflects the brand positioning and desired image.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Once again David Airey answers this questions with much clarity. I often hear clients mention the difficulty of finding good designers for their budget. ItÂs one of the main reasons given by clients who get sucked into the quagmire of design contest websites. The reality is there are thousands of designers available at every level of cost, from a few hundred pounds to tens of thousands. -www.davidairey.com
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
My primary function as a designer is to help integrate meaning with form. It is a repeating process that seeks to create a memorable and appropriate visual persona of a company, organization or cause. With an enduring and scalable visual language referred to as Brand Identity of which all elements follow a framework of meaning and logic. Its is furthest from just a pretty picture.
