Introduction: Jennie is a certified Christian life coach who specializes in helping people live an abundantly-fulfilled life. Using tools and resources that have been tested for over seven years, Jennie helps people discover their full potential while creating the life of their dreams. Jennie received her coachs training in 2005 through Lifeforming Leadership Coaching (LLC). What is coaching? Coaching is a personalized, strategic interaction designed to help you clarify direction and achieve goals. Can a coach help me? If you are going through a challenging season, needing to make a change, facing a crisis or simply looking for new perspective, I can help. What is a coaching session like? Each sixty-minute coaching session is specifically catered towards your personal needs and goals. Initially, I will want to learn more about your journey. From there, I will work with you to put a plan in place that will allow you to move toward your desired goals. I will use strategic questions and activities to help you determine where you want to go and what obstacles are prohibiting you from getting there. If you so desire, I will become your accountability in meeting the goals you set. I may ask you to journal or give you some other homework assignment between sessions. Such assignments are designed to provide you with an opportunity to clarify your own thoughts before our next meeting. Truthfully, there is no typical session. You will determine the course of our times together. How much does it cost? Prices vary depending upon the number of individuals being coached. Please contact me for more details. How often do I need to meet for coaching? You are free to decide how often you would like to meet for coaching sessions. Initially, clients often choose to meet with me once a week to build momentum. You may opt to move to bi-monthly sessions once you have met your primary goals. Where do I meet my coach? If you live nearby, we can arrange to meet at a convenient location; Starbucks works well! If you are beyond driving distance, we can meet over Skype or by phone. Location is not factor. Coaching can be done in-person or online. When can I begin? Coaching sessions are scheduled based on availability. Contact me to schedule a free thirty-minute consultation. This consultation is meant to give me an opportunity to get to know you (and vice versa) while allowing me to learn more about what you hope to accomplish or change in your life. You can use this consultation to help you decide if coaching is for you. Your life is your adventure. Make it a great one!

Jennie Turton has coached me for the past 12 weeks. In this last 12 weeks she has helped me overcome many of the internal obstacles I was facing preventing me from fully preparing for what seemed like a mammoth goal; a 4 hour marriage & family therapy licensing exam. I cannot adequately express the subtle changes that she helped me make over time, but I do know the magnitude of what she helped me accomplish; taking a test that I feared and dreaded. By the date of the exam, I had so much internal peace and joy that were only possible thru the prayers of a wonderfully supportive team, but also from Jennie's invaluable coaching, walking me through step-by-step a gruesome process of self-examination required of any good therapist. Not only did I need to memorize 16+ models of marriage & family therapy, I needed to be able to apply them...first and foremost to myself. In other words, I was my first client! Well, not really...but figuratively speaking, yes. Jennie encouraged me to engage the material as I would engage any client, with unconditional positive regard. Instead of the normal fear-based mentality that I had put myself thru in college to score the "perfect" grade, Jennie helped me "de-mask" and focus on "the inner journey", to engage the material, not just focus on the outer manifestation of grades, rewards, or appearances. She also helped me break down the material so I was not overwhelmed. And if I didn't meet my goal, she met me where I was at. Jennie made herself available to me off hours when I faced a crisis, and believe me looking at myself is not always pretty. Jennie's professionalism, confidentiality, and diverse experience coaching clients around the world in various disciplines gave me the confidence that she knew what she was doing even when I didn't. She helped keep the clay moist, so I didn't dry up and form an opinion of myself too early or quit when I felt exhausted or inadequate. I do not have the results of my exam yet, but I have confidence and peace that I gave my best and that is all God or anyone can ask of us. Perfectionism is no longer a goal I aspire to. In fact I threw it out the door during this "inner journey" of preparing to take my licensing exam. As I told my five year old daughter today when frustrated about her handwriting mistake, "You are just practicing. Only Jesus is perfect and we're not him. God just wants us to do our best and that makes us and Him happy." This small shift of focusing on the process of paced and peaceful learning instead of a nerve-wracked perfectionism has helped change me inside and out. Thank You! ~ Jennifer Sharpe, in faith (L)MFT!

Jennie has been coaching me for the last few months. She is part of my "recovery team," a group of people that include a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a message therapist, and a life coach - Jennie. A couple of years ago, when I was in the midst of a black depression, my wife passed away. I also have an Autistic son, a daughter in college, a job in a high-stress field, and I would like to start dating. Add it all together and you get "life in a hurricane!" The Lord has added a new person to my "team" as I have needed them. Jennie is the latest member to join and I'm thankful she is a part of it! Meeting with Jennie is an opportunity, not an appointment. Her relaxed, question-based, Biblically-guided approach enables you to understand what stands between where you are and where you want to be. She doesn't give answers to life's problems. Rather she helps clear away the flotsam and jetsam so you can focus on the core issues. Working with her has helped me identify core areas in my life, things that are unique and important to me. (We all have to eat but we don't all like roast beef.) Now I can focus on things I want to change. Right now, Jennie is helping me focus on two areas: finances and integrating my spiritual growth. I hate finances. My wife took care of the day-to-day finances until she passed away. I've let them float for almost two years. Now I'm ready to face them and she is encouraging me along the way. It's not that I don't know what to do or couldn't figure it out; Jennie's cut the problem up into pieces I can tackle one at a time. Over the last month or so, I've had a "teachable moment." For me, it's a period where my spirit is quiet enough to hear His voice and learn what He has for me. Jennie helps me integrate those new insights and learning into the larger picture called my life. If I had to pick two words to describe Jennie's approach to coaching, they would be "focus" and "encourage." She shows you how to identify things in your life you want to change and then cheers you on as you make those changes - or nudges you back when you jump off the track. While you'll do the work, she'll show you how to do it smarter. And you'll laugh along the way. Without hesitation, I would commend Jennie to anyone looking for a life coach. Whatever the goal, Jennie will help you reach it. ~ C.A.Williams

Jennie is a fantastic life coach! She really get's down to the core issues and helps you to rise above the ashes. My whole life I knew I had the power to do things but I didn't know quite know how to tap into them. She really puts real world stuff, real world problems, into your hands and gives you the tools to yeild them, to rise above the mediocrity and turn them into gold. She is most definetly a encourger and friend. She really cares about you and really wants to see you succeed in everything, every aspect of your life. Anyone looking for a life coach, she is the one to call. Thanks Jennie for the amazing, lasting, oppertunities to turn my life around and take it back into my hands and not letting the circumstances get the best of me.

Jennie has been a patient and wise guide for my soul journey. She has given me the knowledge and tools to continue to work out my issues with the help of friends, family, and God without growing a dependency on coaching sessions. I can honestly say that the 24 weeks of working with Jennie as my coach were by far the most transforming weeks of my life. I was insecure, unbalanced in most aspects of my life, and harbored self-hatred; I now have appropriate boundaries with people, choose rest and balance, and believe I am heard, I am loved, and I can change. My husband and I have both worked with Jennie, and we regularly agree coaching sessions with Jennie were the best money we have ever spent!

Coaching led me through 12 weeks of the most intense personal growth I have ever experienced. I came into coaching with some areas that I felt stuck in life. I came out with an eye-opening perspective of who I am and how I can continue to grow. I am now equipped with tools and resources to handle similar challenges in the future. I feel more confident in my manhood, I am more in control of my decisions, and I react more calmly to uncontrolled situations than I ever have in my life. When I first looked at the cost of coaching, it seemed like a lot of money. But then I decided that if I could spend a few hundred dollars over several months to completely alter the rest of my life, it would be the best money I ever spent. And now that I have experienced it, it definitely was.
