Introduction: I take pride in my work and when I am done, the locks must work flawlessly or it's not complete. If I have to come back again to fix the lock, it cost me more money, so I make sure its done correctly. My prices are fair prices for the work that I do. Making something work, creating a key and making locks work for that key makes me happy for some reason. Opening a locked door with skill or tools is also fascinating to me.

I was locked out of my master bedroom for over 12 hours, and was absolutely desperate to get back in. Roods Locksmith, was the only one who was able to, and willing to fix the situation for me, on a Saturday. For that, I am super grateful and thankful. He was kind, professional, and fixed the locked door, very quickly. Would definitely use again!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Most lock jobs I do is 65.00 service fee and 10.00 a lock. Lockouts are flat rate services. Auto is 65.00 service fee and 15.00 to open the car. Residential and commercial is 65.00 service fee 50.00 to gain entry. To make keys and rekey on the spot. 25.00 service fee, 2.50 for the original key and a dollar per copy then 10.00 a lock to key to match. Other services are per hour on case by case basis. What I quote is what you pay unless something is different.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When I'm contacted by a customers request for service. I ask what they want done, rekey, lockout services, lock replacement. I like to know how many door knobs and deadbolts they want rekeyed. I give them a quote and set an appointment date and time. At the completion of the work, I let them check the work, I collect the payment and send an invoice/ receipt to them via email. If my customer is a realtor and they are not present at the time of service, I ask for current key location complete the work, send an invoice for immediate payment. I also send video of new keys functioning if I can. I do not leave the keys until payment is collected. I usually stick to quote unless there's more work then described.(if it's a locked out service, I just quoted standard price)

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have the option to purchase new courses got new locks and equipment.
