FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please call me direct to discuss how I may help you maximize your resources to meet your health & relaxation goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Continued Education Units (CEU) cost a minimum of $20 per CEU hour, if available locally. It usually costs much more because it is specialzed education that must be obtained in a classroom setting, especially if you have to travel to study. State of Arizona Massage Therapy Board requires 25 CEU's, a background check & license fees to renew my massage practitioner's license every 2years. National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Professionals requires 48 CEU's, a stringent application process with exam fees & license fees to renew every 4years. This must include ethics & courses for professional roles & boundaries. Liability insurance is an additional cost for professionals that is required by most massage employers. It is expensive, but worth every penny to maintain the privilege of providing personal healthcare services to clients. There also costs for supplies, equipment & travel. Please call me direct.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Elie C. Bradford relocated to Arizona in 1971. As a child, she was drawn outdoors to plants & animals. She created a variety of recipes from natureÃÂÃÂs bounty. She loved to swim & thought the hot river rocks near the poolside felt amazing on her skin. In high school Elie discovered a talent for massage when family members asked her to help soothe their painful muscles. She excelled in natural science, business machines & gourmet cooking. This led her to a part-time corporate job where she later advanced into full-time corporate employment. In college, a painful, stiff neck introduced Elie to chiropractic care where she received her 1st full body massage. Now that was heavenly bliss! All the stresses of a full time job & academic load would melt away 1hour at a time! She attended night college where she studied natural science, business management & retail sales. She relied on her career to fund her education & living expenses. She continued getting massages. She dreamed of being a ÃÂÃÂmasseuse someday.ÃÂÃÂ Decades later, Elie retired from American Express as a Change Management Network Analyst. She began to study healing arts at Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College. She graduated with honors in 2001 as a National Massage Therapist & Healthcare Technician. She used her business management & health science degrees to achieve a career as a Massage Therapist in the resort spa industry. Continued education & 5Diamond resort training at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess Willow Stream Spa, allowed Elie to excel as a body treatment & product dispensary specialist from 2002 through 2008. She now enjoys providing a variety of therapeutic massages & luxurious hydro therapies using scrubs, hot stones, essential oils, warm towels & natural products to delight your senses. To increase her client market, Elie enrolled at Arizona Esthetics Institute in 2006. She graduated with honors in 2007 as an Esthetician & Aroma Therapist. She loves to pamper you with anti-aging skin care treatments that help you heal & look your best. Elie delivers caring, ethical services & adheres to Arizona Infection Control Procedures & Safety Guidelines. She is passionate about creating face & body products using steam distilled essential oils & natural ingredients. Being very family oriented, Elie knew there was a higher level of experience missing from her life. She married an aerospace engineer in 2003. A daughter completed the circle for her in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family. She teaches her daughter to discover the world of nature & science. Elie hopes to see children of the future have an option to choose a healing arts high school. She relates best to the Hawaiian teachings of spirituality. Aloha! To love is to be happy with. Pono! Effectiveness is the measure of truth. The best way to contact Elie is by calling her direct. Elie C. Bradford, LMT, Esthetician
