Introduction: I believe with bodywork, it comes down to quality of touch. Are you tuning in to your client's response to see if you are hurting them or helping them? In order for the body to release traumatic patterns, the client has to feel safe. How safe does your client feel when they are in your care? I also spend many hours learning new techniques and refining. I feel I truly "listen" to where my hands should go rather than just follow protocols. This allows me to provide a more individualized treatment plan for my clients. No one individual is the same so neither should their bodywork and massage experience be the same.
