Ron Ferlito is an outstanding voice instructor! He really got me singing within just a matter of a few lessons. I started with absolutely zero prior singing experience or knowledge. I really thought it would be just a waste of time to even try getting voice lessons. I've always thought my singing voice is so incredibly bad, there is no way that an instructor could do anything for me. HOW WRONG I WAS! I was lucky enough to be referred to Ron Ferlito for voice lessons. Ron Ferlito is an amazing voice teacher. He showed me the basics, and he has been showing me how to use my voice musically, just like a musical instrument. Ron Ferlito has a wealth of musical knowledge and experience and he knows how to explain it to a beginner in a way that makes sense and gets results. I highly recommend Ron Ferlito for voice lessons to anyone who is a beginner and curious to know whether they can actually sing. Ron Ferlito will get you singing! Ron Ferlito is also an amazing and gifted piano player and teacher. My wife is taking piano lessons from him and she has gone from zero knowledge of music to playing some simple Christmas songs in just a matter of a few weeks! How do you do it, Ron?! About me: I am a 40-year-old man who has played guitar for 20 years. I have always wanted to learn to sing too, but I never had any success on my own. I told Ron that I want to learn to sing well enough to play/sing at open-mic nights. Before I knew it, Ron had me singing at one of his recitals. What an awesome experience that was! Bottom line: if you want to learn how to sing or play piano, or both, regardless of whether you have some musical background or not, sign up for lessons with Ron Ferlito. He is very reasonably priced. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Ron Ferlito is also a very friendly guy who is easy to get along with. You never feel embarrassed when you make a mistake around Ron. His attitude is always supportive and encouraging. I just can't say enough good about him because I'm so grateful to Ron Ferlito for helping me to find my true singing voice.

Bonnie has been teaching my oldest son how to play the guitar for two years. He has learned so much from her. When he started playing the Baritone last year he didn't have any issues with reading the music thanks to his lessons with Bonnie. My youngest son is taking art lessons and gets better and better with each lesson. Bonnie is a very patient and fun teacher. She is also very encouraging.

I am an adult who took up playing the piano five years ago. After struggling through two different instructors I wish that I found Music Mary earlier. Her teaching skills are formulated from her sheer love and passion for music. From her years of experience she instinctively knows when to be tough or how to communicate in assisting her students through a block to the next level. Mary is fully versed to take a beginner through the fundamentals or an experienced grad student to the next level. I highly recommend Mary Wagner no matter what level you are currently at.

Although I've been playing violin since I was 8 years old, I haven't taken a formal lesson since college - over 20 years ago! Because of a demanding work schedule, I also stopped playing for 3 years in a row. When my schedule finally changed and I was ready to play again I decided to audition for a community orchestra. I was more than a little rusty and my confidence was shaky so I sought a violin teacher and came across Lali through a friend of a friend. How fortunate for me that I found Lali. She made me feel comfortable during my first lesson and provided a safe environment for me to work in. She immediately began correcting some bad habits in my bow hand, helped me with fingering and shifting, and got me back in shape for those tricky 3-octave scales. She picked out a great piece for me to learn for the solo part of the audition – one that showcased my strengths and was fun to play. Lali also gave me a few dress rehearsals for the audition – she acted as judge, gave me music to sight read, asked me to play scales, gave feedback after I performed my solo and the audition pieces. I was well prepared for the audition. I’m happy to say that I was offered a seat in the orchestra and I do attribute my success to Lali. If you are an adult player who hasn’t taken lessons in recent years, I highly suggest Lali Breen!

Reggie is awesome! I’m a brand new Bass player and first class was so productive and he made it so much fun! He even went above and beyond in the first class and didn’t just teach me the basics but also touched on how and why music is constructed the way it is. I am so excited to be learning Bass with Reggie and highly recommend him!

Will is a gifted and versatile pianist who excels in both classical and jazz music. I heard him perform on numerous occasions at the University of Maine, and was always very impressed with his artistry. Will is also an accomplished accompanist. For two and a half years, he served as the Assistant Accompanist for the University Singers at my request (I am the faculty accompanist for this ensemble). In this capacity, he played for sectional rehearsals, and filled in for me when I was traveling and unable to attend rehearsals. He did an excellent job in this role. Before his recent move to Arizona, Will was the Music DIrector at the Old Town United Methodist Church, where he directed and accompanied a Youth Choir and Adult Choir and played the piano for worship services. It is unusual to find an undergraduate student who has the necessary skills to handle these responsibilities. However, I know many individuals who attend this church, and the feedback that I received from them was unanimously positive and complimentary. In addition to his skills at the keyboard, Will is also an excellent singer who provided leadership in his section while he was a member of the University Singers. He was also a valued member of the Maine Steiners, a male a capella group, and created many impressive arrangements for this group. He represented the University of Maine admirably in his many performances throughout the state with this group. Will has turned pages for me at faculty recitals on many occasions. I have asked him to do this because of his great skill in reading music, and because he is mature individual that I can trust to be on time and to focus on the task at hand while on stage. In addition to his admirable skills as a musician, I have found Will to be a reliable and dependable individual who willingly takes on any task that he is asked to do. He will be an asset to any organization or institution with which he is associated. Sincerely, Laura Artesani, D.M.A. Associate Professor, Division of Music School of Performing Arts University of Maine Orono, ME 04469

Yorman deserves a 7th star! He has ignited a love of music in my children...My 13 year old's passion is the guitar and 9 year old the drums. Yorman teaches them these instruments, as well as, piano. During the week we participate in Skype lessons which work really well for our busy schedule and when available, Yorman visits our home for longer in person sessions. He is patient, passionate and very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate in recommending him for lessons. You will not be disappointed.

I went to Bryan for a piano lesson--it was great! He was extremely patient and definitely knows his stuff. He was able to carefully and clearly explain challenging musical ideas to me. He also provided very practical tips that almost immediately improved my piano playing. When teaching, he is able to demonstrate even the most complex of techniques. The lesson was informative and well taught! None of my previous teachers even come close. I'll definitely be back!

Amy is an excellent piano teacher! She has been great with my 9 year old. She is teaching her the proper way to learn piano unlike her previous teacher that took my daughter down a different path. You can tell that Amy loves teaching and has a passion for music. She is patient, but pushes my daughter to do her best. I highly recommend Amy!

Donna is a true professional who comes fully prepared to her performances. She bring her sax and flute and booklets of music, prepared to take requests. She performs well accompanied by piano, and sings well both on solo numbers and in harmony with other vocalists. She is so versatile to perform music from the 40's to today's hit songs. Elvis. Adele. Stevie Nicks. Andrews Sisters. Love them all!

Hunter does a great job of keeping piano lessons exciting and fun for both my sons. My 10 year old has attention deficit disorder and Hunter is extremely patient and understanding. Both boys look forward to piano lessons every week. We are amazed at how far they have come in a short time. I wish Hunter could have taught my older girls. To find a teacher who cares about what the child interests are is hard to do.
