About this pro
This was my first time working with an editor and I feel like I chose wisely when I picked Ye Editor to work with. I like that he prints off the manuscripts and marks on paper rather than working off the computer screen. His edit pointed out several mistakes I made particularly with the past and past perfect tense. I have no problem choosing Ye Editor again with future work. I highly recommend Ye Editor especially if this is the first time someone has ever submitted work to be edited. I found him approachable and professional.Aug 7, 2018Verified
I recently worked with Jim for the first time and I must say I think he is fantastic! He is thorough, timely and offers great feedback. I have already decided to work with him on my next project. I highly recommend him!Apr 10, 2017Verified
He edited my my manuscript. I am blown away. He is honest, professional, very knowledgeable, and does not sugar-coat comments to make an author feel good. He gives constructive editing corrections, is easy to work with, reasonably priced and overall the best editor an author could have. I have learned so much from him and highly recommend him. Use him. You will be more than satisfied.Jul 21, 2018Verified
I really appreciate his timeliness and especially his thoughts and insights! I will only use him!Jun 22, 2018Verified
Had over 10 people review my manuscript before sending it to Ye Editor. He made significant comments on my manuscript and greatly improved the grammar, tense, and punctuation. A very gifted and accomplished editor!Jun 9, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Some editors charge by the page, which can result in some inequities. I charge by the word instead. At the moment, my fee is $.006 per word. As an example, a 50,000 word manuscript would cost $300. I also offer discounts for repeat clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After choosing me as editor, the author submits a manuscript to me either as an attachment through Thumbtack or directly to my email. I print the manuscript and make the edits manually. I then return the completed edits with a full report, including recommendations for publishing. I'm also available afterward for follow-up and advice (no charge). I maintain contact with the author throughout the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was originally an English major in college before switching to Business Management. As a bank vice president, I headed a marketing and business development department. I also served as editor of the internal publications of two large banks. Twenty years as editor of newsletters for a community service group brought numerous awards.
