Tobi was awesome!! We had a lot of kids at our company picnic and she accommodated all of them with both face painting and balloon twisting!! Everyone enjoyed working with her. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her highly.Mar 5, 2018Verified
Tobi was fabulous! Tobi helped to celebrate our sons 5th birthday party and she was a highlight of the party. Her balloon twisting ability far surpasses anyone else that we have ever seen. You will not be disappointed!Nov 17, 2010
We recently had a Fancy Nancy birthday party for my two year old and 8 of her friends of a variety of ages. Tobi did a wonderful job doing face painting and balloon hats, swords, crowns, etc. to suit each child. She really can create some interesting and creative things with balloons. I was amazed. I was a little worried that the two year olds would not be interested in getting their faced painted, but Tobi painted delicate butterfly bracelets and necklaces on them. They were absolutely beautiful and the kids were delighted. The next day, I noticed that my four year old son had collected up some of the twisted balloon things and was trying to take them apart and put them back together. Lots of fun. :-)Aug 25, 2010
We had an amazing experience with Tobi, she was on time and very easy to work with. All of the balloons that she made were a huge hit with the kids, she had a line all night long and handled all the chaos like an absolute pro with all of the crazy requests. We truly appreciate you coming out and look forward to working with you again. :]Feb 15, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I need some basic information about the event and what services they would like. The day, time and location, and how long they would like me at the event. At this point, I can check my availability for the day and give a quote based on the services desired. Some additional info will be needed to book the event. This includes theme of the party, how many guests are expected, contact info and address to event. Schools and Company events will need an invoice and W9. So I gather info for that process as well. I typically text the event coordinator the day before to confirm. Most small events pay cash or check after my time at the party is complete. For larger events, I accept PayPal or check.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am continuously taking classes and I feel that it is a credit to my personality more than it is needed to keep up with the industry needs. I love entertaining at parties and one of the ways to do that is to be "in touch" with the latest fads. Most of the people I meet in this industry take at least one or two classes a year to continue learning. I am a Certified Balloon Artist and have taken classes in creating balloon dresses, working with 8 foot balloons, creating balloon centerpieces, creating balloon columns and arches 20 different ways and more. I am also teaching classes out of my home to anyone who is interested in learning new techniques and tidbits for their balloon business or just to impress their friends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? The thought of being a balloon artist first hit me when I was in my 20's. I watched a balloon twister at a local restaurant and thought that there was no way on earth I could ever memorize all of the twists and turns to create lots of different balloon animals. But in my 30's, I learned that I could do anything I set my mind to and one day my daughter asked me to buy her a balloon kit and make her balloons. I did. She and I really enjoyed ourselves and I asked her to give away some of the balloons since I made quite a few. I had a lady ask me for my business card because she loved my balloon art. My jaw dropped. I have been hooked since!
