Javier is a master craftsman when it comes to upholstery. When I first met with him he was accompanied by his lovely wife, Eloisa, and they helped me pick out fabric for the sofa and loveseat which needed re-upholstering. They were very helpful in advising on which fabrics would coordinate with my existing furniture. Javier picked up the sofas several days later at exactly the time we had arranged. His is not a big business; he performs all the work himself and his standards are very high. Unfortunately he became quite ill and there was a delay in the delivery of the finished product. Because I had met him personally and liked and trusted him implicitly, I understood the dilemma posed by his illness. And ~ it was worth the wait! (From reading other reviews of his work I know that had illness not struck the delivery would have been on time!) I was happy to hear that he had regained his health. The sofa and loveseat look absolutely magnificent. Bottom line ~ if you need any upholstery work, look no further! (Javier) Valenzuela's Upholstery is top-notch and even better, his prices are more than reasonable.

The Valenzuela’s upholstered 6 dining room chairs for me. They are absolutely beautiful. Such great work. They are so much nicer than when I bought them in the store. I will definitely be going back to Valenzuela’s Upholstery for some other reupholstering needs. I recommend Valenzuela’s. They are very nice and accommodating. They do expert work at a good value.

I had 9 vintage chairs that needed Reupholstering. It was amazing how Vanzuela Upholstery (Javier) worked his magic. 6 chairs needed covering for the kitchen and 2 were different. He made them all match with silver bottoms and wheels. Next he took 2 matching family room chairs and made them new again, as they also were weathered from age.(1960s). The color/fabric swatches he offered were perfect. We had our very favorite office chair done and it is heavenly now. My HUGE request was having everything done by Thanksgiving, that happened! He and his staff were so prompt, professional and affordable. Please reconsider getting new couches, chairs, etc and call this guy instead! He will make your stuff beautiful again!

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The training I received was a scholarship for specialized vocational training in upholstery from two Master Craftsmen in Upholstery in chandler, Arizona in 1982. These experienced upholsterers were impressed with my eye for detail and my ability to learn quickly as I worked. My love of cars transformed into a lifetime of skills with working with car seats to airline and then into factory work with standard and custom upholstering of all types of furniture as well.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with Residential and Commercial Company Clients.
