I recently shot with Erica to build up my portfolio, and she was absolutely amazing! Gave great directions the whole time so I didn't feel awkward posing, she was super nice, and the photos turned out beautiful! Definitely recommend using her as your photographer for any event!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, we'll discuss what you're looking for to make sure we're the right fit! We'll go over pricing, what's included & I'll answer any questions that you might have. We'll schedule a day to shoot and pick the perfect location. After our session, I'll hand-select & edit each image. Your photos will be delivered (one week for portraits & events, 30 days for weddings) through a beautiful online gallery, available to you indefinitely. Prints, canvases, albums, etc. can be directly ordered through this gallery. I approach each photo session as a storytelling journey unique to each person, couple, family, or event. I won't force moments or put you into awkward poses. For me, photographing is about getting to know the person (or people) I'm capturing and letting their natural moments & personality shine through the images! I'm here to make whatever occasion or moment you want to be captured into a fun & organic experience to remember for years to come!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm a self-taught photographer with over three years of shooting professionally for all types of clients. I first got interested in photography by learning how to develop film in the darkroom in high school. I've had a Canon camera in my hand ever since. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media Innovation which has helped me along my photography journey.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Since I was 15, I've had a camera in my hand. I learned about photography the old fashioned way, in the darkroom developing B&W film and prints on my own through many years of high school art classes. This drove me to pick up my first DSLR, and I soon started practicing on myself through self-portraits (which I still love to do today)! I then moved on to photographing family & friends, and shortly after began capturing images for others who wanted some special moments captured.

Over the years of shooting individual portraits, to couples through engagement sessions and weddings, to families, I've discovered my passion - creating images for people that they'll hold onto for a lifetime!
