My daughter has taken lessons with Elizabeth for a couple of years: she's learned a lot as a flute player (and she went from wanting to quit to now seeing the flute as a lifelong instrumenther band teacher said "don't quit: take private lessons, you'll see!" and it was true). In addition to taking lessons, working with Elizabeth on the ensemble performances has been *excellent*. Also Elizabeth helps us keep on top of things I'd forget (when to get the flute maintained, for example). She is definitely more than a weekly teacher: she really cares about the student as a person (my daughter feels very close to her), and about music and music history, and about creating events for her studio that range widely and offer different (& cool) experiences (performances in an art gallery on First Friday, at Holiday Harmony in downtown Scottsdale, at a poetry conference on a college campus, in nursing homes and churches, etc etc...). She's very thoughtful and she shows this with lots of small touches that give students a sense of being really cared about and supported. I think we've been very lucky to know her!

Elizabeth has been teaching my daughter for about a year now. The music lessons she provides are both challenging and positive; my daughter is learning a solid mix of theory and musicality, and has been making impressive progress in her school music program. She responds very well to Elizabeth's calm and encouraging approach.

Elizabeth gave me and my sisters a great mix of music, theory, and history and encouraged us to set our own goals. She gave a wide range of music pieces that were challenging but could also be overwhelming at times, but just let Elizabeth know. Overall, she was a great teacher.

Elizabeth has been my daughter's flute teacher since last summer, and my daughter has really enjoyed the lessons. She is a wonderful teacher who teaches out of her home. She is very flexible when we need to change appointment times and days. She is always on time, we've never had to wait for our scheduled appointment.
