Aloha, I was fortunate to have her associate Carla Gallucci design my Town home in Scottsdale. She took the time to ask me questions that I didn't think about. Having me ponder the present and future for a product that would fit my life style. She stayed well within my budget, producing an outstanding vacation rental that people are lined up to rent (it's booked from December to April ever year). Her passion and excitement for what she does is CONTAGIOUS! I flew her and her husband Dave to Hawaii to renovate my entire home - she talked me into going over my original budget - but I'm so glad I did! The compliments I receive daily are just amazing. I can't wait to have them do another project for me.

A friend of mine referred Crisiti Valimaki. I appreciate a good referral and - Wow!! I had such a great experience working with her. I hired her to help me make my home to be more warm and inviting and pull everything together! Cristi has a strong ability to grasp a concept and build off it. I was not sure what I wanted but with her help I felt very comfortable from the start. Crisiti's ability to understand what I was envisioning and then executing was such a relief. One of the challenges I had is I was on a budget and wanted to incorporate what I previously had along with some new items. She was fantastic at re-staging and giving my home an entirely new look. I am huge into customer service and I cannot say enough good about my experience with Cristi!

We recently hired Carla Gallucci with Change by Design to help us pick some color for the walls of our home. We were living with white walls from when we moved in 9 years ago. We were all excited for a change. She came out and met all of us and got to work walking around and asking many questions that we would have not thought about. She helped us keep existing items and keep the paint neutral so we could easily change furniture when the time came which helped us stay on budget with the whole thing. Carla helped me with ideas so I could do some of the work myself to keep our cost down. She helped move some things around to highlight things in one room to make it more inviting. Carla went above and beyond to include our children in picking out the colors which meant a lot to our children. After the painters finished Carla and her husband Dave, also with Change by Design, came back to help us put the family collage wall up that we wanted. What a great person, Dave went above and beyond to make sure it looked straight and things were evenly spaced so it was catching to the eye with the assistance of Carla. Thank you Dave for putting your time in as well we appreciate all of it. I am excited to get the photos up in the frames to show off our masterpiece. Carla assisted in matching things for the walls to bring our colors together in each room. We are still in the process of picking out art work and getting it put on the walls, but WOW what a difference it has made. We have family coming in for the holidays and are so excited to have them come see our newly decorated house. It feels great to come home again. We are thrilled with the changes! I hired Cristi Valimaki of Change by Design Interiors to design my dining room, living room, bedroom, and kitchen for my new home in Mesa. From our first meeting she was very professional and made me feel very comfortable discussing my ideas. I was blown away when she presented her unique vision of a modern industrial design. Cristis knowledge of all aspects of design gave her the ability to create amazing and functional spaces. I was very pleased with how she stayed within budget and on schedule. We provide world class interior design services to residential, commercial and hospitality clients in all areas of interior design. We are a full service design firm offering services from design consultation to full turn key solutions. Our most common services include turn key design solutions for new constructions, kitchen and bathroom remodels and space planning and design for commercial environments.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask Questions. The initial meeting is the time to interview a designer about their work and experience. Here are some questions to ask: Have they completed a project similar in scale and scope to yours? What were their responsibilities on previous projects? Did they include: Conceive the Design Concept & Set Overall Design Direction Design Development Select Finishes & Materials Select Furniture & Lighting Construction Documentation Construction Administration Project Management Can they provide all of the services required for your project and if not, which consultants may need to be retained (architect, engineer, lighting consultant, etc.)? Most designers are very passionate about their work and will be happy to answer questions about their projects and experience. Use this time not only to gather information about the designers experience but also to find out about their personalities.
