FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I do! I attend the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists 3 day symposiums three out of every four years. In addition, I attend a Winter Symposium and just completed the 2-day 2015 event on Brain Health. I will be attending the IAACN Symposium on Dietary Protocols for Cancer Patients this coming August. I keep up with all my continuing education credits for Chiropractic, Nutrition and EFT. There is always something new to learn!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had an injury as a pre-teen that left me unable to move my neck for a couple of years. As a result, I could not exercise and gained quite a bit of weight. It was only through the help of chiropractic that I regained range of motion and was relieved of terrible, chronic pain. I knew from the time I was in 7th grade that I would become a chiropractor, and I never wavered from that goal. I also happen to come from a family with a history of obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. Going into the field of nutrition gave me tools to overcome my own genetic predispositions and help others do the same.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
As a chiropractor, I give adjustments to re-align the spine and remove nerve interference so the body can heal naturally and quickly from injuries, accidents and the stresses of life. As a nutritionist, I help people improve their diet, get over their food addictions, embrace a healthier lifestyle and keep their physiology in balance via information gleaned from periodic blood testing. As an EFT practitioner, I help people overcome negative thinking and traumatic memories from the past.
