Our daughter was not motivated to do her Algebra 1 work without a teacher. Miss Wilhite even agreed to do the homework so they can compare how they got the results. Miss Wilhite shares her passion for math with her students.
Gina is a marvelous tutor. She is knowledgeable, tailors her teaching to your level and needs, patiently answers questions while clearly explaining the intricacies of the Spanish language. Perhaps what sets her apart from other tutors I've had is her engaging personality, her eagerness to want to help you learn the language. Studying Spanish has actually become pleasurable, not a chore. It's evident Gina enjoys teaching and instilling a love for this beautiful language. I'm so pleased to have found her. I recommend her highly, without reservation.
We needed to find an SAT tutor for my daughter right away. I like the fact that Arbor allows you to switch tutors if you want to. Due to scheduling problem on our part, we ended up needing to switch to a different tutor. I simply sent an email and we immediately were given another tutor that fit into my daughter's new schedule.
Tutor for a high school freshmen for mth and it went great. I saw improvement with my student in the first week because Jest was very good at explaining and breaking down the problems
Jennifer is an awesome tutor! She was very willing to help and provided clear explanations. I would hightly recommend her to anyone needing help with physics.
Marie came to us in the fall of 2008 to be our son's personal teacher/tutor for sixth grade, while he as attending classes through the Arizona Virtual Academy. It was an incredibly positive experience for us all. Marie provided structure for our son and made learning some very "dry" material interesting and fun! She was able to adapt her teaching style to our son's special needs. This was very important as our son has a fairly low attention span with not much interest in academics. Thanks to Marie, our son was did very well in all of his subjects. Marie is patient, dedicated, responsible, flexible, highly skilled and clearly loves to teach! We were delighted to have found her. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to enhance their child's learning experience.

I am a retired engineer. I can work as a tutor for maths, physics, engineering graphics, and civil engineering subjects.
My goal in tutoring is to enable my students to succeed in any subject with which they may be having difficulties. To do this, I spend some time getting to know my students, their strengths and weaknesses, and their interests and learning styles. I establish a good rapport with the student, listening carefully to the problems he or she experiences in their normal learning environment. This may involve not being able to get questions answered, not following explanations of the subject matter, etc. I study the course material, so I am very familiar with the material the student is studying. I prepare my lessons carefully, making sure they are interesting and hold the student's attention. Future lessons are based on those areas, and that the student's work that indicates attention should be focused. The individual attention and the success the student has in these lessons builds up his or her confidence and self esteem and allows for success in the classroom.
I find ways for students to learn in easy increments. I establish where they are at, and build on the information to move them to the goal of the subject. Reading and writing are some of my specialties.
I have excelled in my profession as a teacher motivating students to reach their highest potential. Through specialized training I am able to build a strong reading, writing and spelling foundation for my students. I do initial testing to assess the student's grade placement and strengths and weaknesses and then continue assessments on a regular basis to chart their progress. I use incentives to encourage students to stay on task and use a variety of materials and activities to keep them motivated. I am well-organized with concise lesson plans to make optimum use of the time we have together. The sessions are fun and fast-paced using a variety of activities geared to meet the student's needs and filled with much laughter. I have a proven track record and testimonials to back up my successes.
