- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Refinishing Saltillo tile floors can run as low as $1.00/SqFt The cost of refinishing Wood floors is a little more complicated. Can we simply screen and re-coat your floor or do we have to bring in the drum sander and edger to "deep sand" to remove a lot of wood to get a good result? Or do we have to first chemically remove the old finish instead of deep sanding to get a good result (because deep sanding your floor will finally expose the tongue and groove)? Clean, detail, and seal new construction colored concrete floor generally runs a low as $1.00/SqFt. The cost to color acid-stain existing concrete floors varies depending on the floor and the type of final top-coat finish used. Patching the carpet tack-strip holes typically found around the perimeter of the floor after removing carpet adds to the cost. Sometimes it's a better investment to resurface the concrete floor before coloring it. Yes, we do all types of decorative concrete work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The owner of this business not only has an AZDOR KB-02 General Contractor's License (Residential and Small Commercial) he also maintains a Professional Engineering License (mechanical). His Bachelor of Science Engineering degree was obtained right here in Tucson at the University of Arizona. His engineering background is currently used to size and install solar photovoltaic panels on rooftops for those local residents who want to become their own electric utility company. The background in engineering also uniquely qualifies this business owner to solve construction problems in unique and efficient ways.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having built large spec homes in Tucson we are uniquely qualified as a residential and small commercial general contractor to offer remodeling services. When building custom home we could not find qualified subcontractors to finish Saltillo tile, travertine, or integral color concrete flooring that was popular to include in our construction at that time. So we started our own floor refinishing business.
