Gary came over the same day and got my sons piece of furniture assembled very quickly. I feel like it is a lot safer with Gary assembling it with his professional tools versus our Allen wrench. Will use him again if needed!Dec 13, 2020Verified

Gary and Jen were amazing ! They make an excellent team! They put together 3 IKEA pieces and hung a light fixture. I will definitely use them again. We all know how many pieces are involved in assembling furniture . They made it look easy ! I was thoroughly impressed! When assembling the light fixture they offered they took their time and expertise to make it look perfect !Nov 24, 2020Verified

I had Gary and his partner assemble a dresser and dip station for me. They did a fabulous job all around. They showed up early and texted first to make sure it was ok. They assembled both items in my carport ( I asked them to do it in the carport instead of in the house) in just a few hours. The dip station actually had some issues straight out of the box (a cracked handle and bent bar) and Gary was able to work around it and put it together anyway but checked with me first to make sure I didn't want to return it. They left a clean workspace when they were done. They were very professional and friendly. This was the first time I hired someone for this kind of work and I will definitely be calling them for any future projects like this that I have.Jan 16, 2021Verified

Wonderful work! Would hire him again in a heartbeat. Gary answered my messages very quickly and did a FANTASTIC job on my furniture assembly. It was a very large office piece, pretty much an entire wall unit. He pays attention to little details and does a very thorough job.Aug 22, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Sometimes. If a quote request on Thumbtack says something like" door won't close"... That could be anything from a few minutes adjusting a latch to realizing a door frame has been devoured by termites and needs replacement . I strive for flat rates based on the actual work required, which often can be determined. Plumbing on the other hand is notorious for " surprises" so I am more cautious with bidding this type of work and charge an hourly rate. I find that flat rates work best for everyone and I provide those whenever possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Well... At the very least I try to show up on time. Lol. Generally there is a small conversation concerning the project before work begins to determine what actually has to be done. From that point solutions are determined and the project most times goes very smoothly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?A lot of the skills that I have are naturally inherent however I did spend many years in the construction field learning all the trades and that helped balance my overall abilities to problem solve and understand the architectural and structural reasoning behind how things are assemble and built. I approach home repair in a methodical ,deductive way so problem solving and actively repairing almost anything ,combined with the many years of training makes this work rather pleasant and fulfilling.
