2023Rates: Minimum 24 hours notice to book a session. $50/hr (K-12), $60(College), $65(Statistics), $,75/hr (ACT/SAT Exam Prep), 1hr session cancellation/no show fee (if cancelled within 6 hours of scheduled time)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.S. in mathematics and statistics, a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in biostatistics, and I am ABD (PhDc) in epidemiology. My continuing education comes in the form of the actual job. As you tutor you receive continuing education everyday! Thus, the joy and challenge is inherent in my job.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've provide mathematics tutoring in every math for elementary through college and statistics tutoring for high school through grad school. To prepare students for college level mathematics and future career choices I also incorporate deductive reasoning and critical thinking into every tutoring session. Deductive reasoning is more commonly taught in reading but the concepts of applied logic, reasoning, and engaging in problem solving are important factors in mathematics comprehension as well! Every critical thinking exercise is uniquely selected for each student's level of comprehension.I work towards providing a challenging and enriched experience for all students.
