Introduction: A sense of awe and discovery, coupled with the continuous practice of concepts and problems, will take students a long way in any topic of study. When tutoring students, I review the material, ask questions to confirm comprehension along the way, and provide a series of practice problems for implementation of what is taught. I aim to build self-confidence in such a way that one may eventually feel the need to seek consultation only once in a while. Keep in mind that an hour or two with a personal tutor is not the final answer. I encourage all of my students to practice in-between sessions in their own time. Create your own practice problems or search for examples on the internet. Check out books from the library that contain the material that you are studying. I even recommend, at some point, teaching someone else what you've learned. If you can explain or teach it, then, you have internalized the concepts.
