- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is for the pet/animal portrait paintings. Mosaics are priced by the materials, size of the project, location requirement (indoor or outdoor).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my clients find my work through my website and are interested in animal or nature themed artwork. They contact me, stating what they are interested via email. When clients decide the size and media they would like and estimate is sent. Once approved, a Paypal invoice for a deposit to begin work is sent. When the invoice is paid I will start work on their project. For animal artwork, I need high quality reference photos. If required, 2 - 3 small concept sketches sent. Progress photos of the artwork are sent and usually posted on my blog or Facebook page. When completed and approved, the Paypal invoice for remainder of the balance plus any shipping fees is sent. Artwork is shipped upon payment completion. I ship USPS or Fedex, tracking and insurance is recommended.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration. My specialty is animal and nature artwork. My website title is SueBetanzos.com Animal Artist. I have worked with and had animal companions all of my life. Hiking and traveling give me first hand observations of the subjects I enjoy.
