Introduction: I have been commissioned by many organizations to represent or decorate their walls. I believe in community and the power of murals and urban healing through beauty and working together. I also love to teach all ages art in many forms. We can talk about critical theory or finger-paint, it's your call. I love art in many of its forms, it's my passion, my healing refuge and a powerful tool that I use to work with others. When I teach it's often like a therapy session for my students and I enjoy sharing with them as well. When I am making things it is also a meditative process that I truly need to function in life. It is a part of me that can not be separated from me any more than severing an arm.

Leanne was the lead artist of a mural I commissioned at an urban farm in San Francisco in 2009. Together we worked on the concept and from there she went with it, creating a playful, creative, and inspiring story line that related to the history of the site. She was wonderful to work with, hard-working, dedicated, and a talented artist. Even when it started raining she persevered and came back to work on it during clear days in between, until it was complete. I know so many people got joy out of seeing her mural in the garden. Leanne is a talented and visionary artist that is lovely to work with!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
-Murals will have a list of supplies as well as a separate hourly fee. -Commissioned paintings and drawings are priced individually based in supply cost, time, detail, difficulty etc. -Private lessons are $25-35 an hour based on distance traveled etc multiple hour lessons can be discounted
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am pursuing an MFA with a 3.8 GPA at U of A. UPDATE: (graduated MFA May 2015)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It chose me, I didn't chose it, but I have embraced it. I have always been an artist.
