Whether or not you’re Irish, we all relish Saint Patrick’s Day. On this most sacred of all tippling days, it becomes a holy quest to get stinking drunk and pinch any attractive specimens who cross your path. *

Sure, you could knock back a few pints of Guinness and call it a night. But why not get creative? We called on the experienced Thumbtack bartenders for their Saint Patrick’s Day recommendations. We received 29 submission and these were our five favorites:
“A fine Irish drink, one of my favorites,” says Tim Flynn of Bar Mixers in Jacksonville, FL. “Pull up the history of this secret monk Green Chartreuse product, it is amazing: 130 herbs, plants, flowers, from the French Alps. Not sure if the monks are Irish.”

- 3 oz lemonade
- Dash orange bitters
- 3/4 oz Green Chartreuse
- Splash of ginger ale
- Garnish with an orange mint sprig and meyer lemon.
Irish Coffee with a Pot of Gold
Kick up your Irish Coffee with a special caramel whipped topping. To make the whip, pour fresh whipping cream (farm fresh, if you can find it!) into a mixer and whisk on high speed. Before peaks form, add 1/4 cup of caramel sauce. This will thin the cream and make it a bit smoother.
Next, preheat your Irish Coffee glass with boiling water so it’s hot to the touch. Pour this out. Add Stumptown coffee, about 5 ounces, and a sugar cube. Stir well. Next add 2 1/2 ounces of Jameson. Top with a light layer of caramel whip and enjoy! Happy St. Paddy’s!!!
