SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Thumbtack, a local services marketplace that connects customers with skilled professionals, today announced the appointment of its new Vice President of People, Justin Angsuwat, effective immediately.
As Thumbtack’s VP of People, Angsuwat oversees all people operations, including recruiting, human resources, office operations, learning and development, and total rewards. He will serve as a member of Thumbtack’s leadership team and will report to Thumbtack co-founder and CEO Marco Zappacosta.
Angsuwat joins Thumbtack from Google, where he was a member of the People Operations Leadership Team, most recently as the Head of Human Resources at Google for its Go-To-Market functions.
“I joined Thumbtack because it’s a people-centric business. As the company grows, it’s vital we continue to find the best and most interesting people to join the team – those with diverse backgrounds, skills and experiences,” said Angsuwat. “Every day here is about focusing on each person’s unique value, in a culture where people can grow and bring their full selves to work.”
“As a growth-stage startup, how we hire, how we meet, how we build teams and share information across the company are all central to our success,” said Zappacosta. “I am confident Justin will ensure the Thumbtack team is well positioned to build a generational company that helps tens of millions of people start and run their own small businesses.”
