Thumbtack is a service that’s all about connecting consumers and service professionals. We’re excited to introduce a new logo and brand color to better reflect the service we offer.
You’ll notice two key differences in our new logo: we’ve dropped the “.com” that followed Thumbtack and we’ve transitioned to a typeface that has a more human feel. We decided to drop the “.com” because Thumbtack’s consumers and service professionals experience our service in the real world. To us and our wonderful community of service pros and consumers, Thumbtack is much more than just a website.
We designed a logo with more personality because Thumbtack is about those in-person connections. Thumbtack’s design team embellished the base Fox Grotesque font, connecting the letters to be evocative of human handwriting. We designed the bevels in the letters to evoke the tips of a Thumbtack.
Over the coming months, we plan to roll out more updates to Thumbtack’s overall design and user interface on both web and mobile devices. The changes will make it easier for consumers to get quotes from, learn about and hire local service professionals. They’ll also help service professionals better manage their business on Thumbtack.
