Quote faster with quote templates.
Quote templates help you send high-quality quotes in seconds. By creating different templates–each with a price estimate, a message, and optional attachments–you can simply select the template you need when you’re ready to quote. If you choose, customize the template to the customer’s needs by editing your message or the price estimate. (Whether or not you edit the template, we’ll update the customer’s name everywhere it appears so you won’t have to.) When you’re ready, send your quote to the customer. To create new templates, click the + sign in the upper right.
We’ve seen that some pros like to create different templates for the various types of jobs they do, such as cooking for a small private dinner versus catering a large party. Your saved templates are always available to choose from each time you want to send a quick quote.
Our research shows that pros who use quote templates are able to quote more than twice as quickly as before. Quote templates are now available on our website and Android app. They’re coming to our iPhone app soon! Learn more
Save time and money with auto-reload.
Auto-reload is the quick, convenient way to purchase new credit packs. Simply select the credit pack that’s right for you and we’ll automatically add that pack to your account when you run out of credits. With auto-reload, you get our lowest prices on credit packs. For pros who use the Thumbtack for Pros app, this means a savings of 25 percent off the mobile prices. Plus, you’ll always have enough credits to send quotes.
To turn on auto-reload, log in to Thumbtack. Then go to your Settings and select Account. If you’re an app user, the only way to turn on auto-reload is by exiting the app and logging in to Thumbtack.com. Learn more
Use sorting and filtering to prioritize customer requests.
Did you know you can sort and filter your inbox to prioritize the requests you care about most? This is especially helpful if you receive a large number of requests every day. Now, you can sort requests by most recent, least competitive, and more. To narrow down the requests in your inbox, you can filter by request type, number of credits required to quote, job location, and/or job start date. For example, some pros filter requests to only see jobs that start in the next few days.
To view your filter and sort options, tap the filter icon in your inbox. On the Filter Requests screen, select filters and sort your requests to prioritize those you value most. Keep in mind that your filters will only apply to the requests that appear in your inbox; you’ll still receive notifications (by email, text message, or push) for all your active request types.
Use scheduling to quickly set up calls, meetings and jobs.
Pros tell us that connecting with customers to discuss the job can make a huge impact on getting hired. The new scheduling tools make it easier to take that first step and get started with customers.
You can suggest times for a phone call, in-person meeting or an onsite consultation. For some categories, you can even suggest times to complete the job and get hired instantly when the customer confirms. Learn more
