This recipe makes 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies and takes 9-12 minutes to bake. Bon appétit!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) good quality butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1.5 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 tsp. vanilla
- 2.5 cup flour
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1.5 cup high quality chocolate chips
- Optional: 1 cup nuts
Cream butter and sugars for 5 minutes until the sugar is incorporated into the butter and the mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs into the mix one at a time. Add vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Scoop dough into portions and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Once portioned, dough can be frozen and baked off as needed. Add an extra 2 minutes cooking time if the cookies are frozen.
Bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
