Thumbtack is always working to bring our Service Pros higher quality client requests, and more of them. Normally, we add improvements that benefit all of our Service Pros. But knowing that our businesses are all unique, we sometimes make specific improvements to processes for particular types of services. Here’s an example of how we are bringing our house cleaners new business.
1) We now proactively reach out to clients to encourage them to book cleaning services. For instance, a few months ago we sent out the newsletter you see below. Newsletters and advertising campaigns like this one have helped us bring house cleaners 1,000s of new clients every month.

2) Once we convince a client to hire a house cleaner on Thumbtack, we need to ask them the right questions about their job so that our Service Pros get the information they need before submitting a quote. In addition to general details and their personal information, we now ask clients for the square footage of the area that needs to be cleaned and we give them the chance to share more information about their specific job.

We’re also updating the request questions and sending newsletters on behalf of our other types of Service Pros. We’ll keep working to improve and to get all of our Service Pros hired more often. Stay tuned for more updates soon.
