Raquel is absolutely amazing! I have two 1-year old female pitbull/labrador mixes that desperately needed training. They knew basic commands such as sit, lie down and shake. However, they never had proper training before. There was constant unruly behavior - jumping on guests and leash pulling among others. Less than an hour into our session, my dogs were listening and staying put - something I could never get them to do. I've had other trainers come by who would sit and go through the animal behavior stuff and as soon as their time was up, they were gone without going through any exercise training. Raquel put in the time and was willing to stay until they got through exercises. I can't thank her enough. My dogs are much more calm now and I was able to bring them to a friend's house without worrying if they'd get into it with the other dogs or people. She's well worth the money!

Karen really understands the mindset and psychology of dogs, which was so helpful for us to understand why our dog was acting the way he was. We really appreciated her explanations of our dog's behavior, like biting, barking and pulling on the leash, so that we could start learning how to better communicate with our dog. We definitely gained insight and tips on how to train our dog from Karen and would recommend her for anyone who needs help understanding their dog's actions. In addition, Karen is extremely dedicated to her work. You can tell through her engaging stories, but also by the fact that she is willing to go above and beyond to help your family.

I had a private training session with Dee Cee, and it was worth every penny! She has a real passion for training dogs and she is very respectful, clear, thorough and effective. My dog Gubi has behavior problems and Dee Cee came up with methods that immediately worked! She also gave me great tools and tips to use in the future. I was so impressed with Gubi's progress in just a day and I feel like I know my dog much better now. Thank you Dee Cee!!

Very knowledgeable on pet behavior. My dog can finally go to dog parks and everywhere else with me. Thank you. I also recommend my cousin to him. His dog was one of the worst behaved dogs that I've seen (80 pound American Pit bull). This dog is like a brand new dog now. Thank you again.

Angela was amazing with helping us train our puppy! She's very knowledgeable and understands dog behavior very well. She's great assessing the dogs needs and correcting any negative behaviors. As a new puppy owner she helped put a lot of our concerns to rest. Great trainer, 10/10, would recommend to any dog owner.

Forever Friends Golden Retriever Rescue has been privileged to have Kim (The Trained Canine) as our Behavior Specialist and Trainer for the past 7 years. She not only trains our dogs but works with the foster parents and new owners. Kim has worked with dogs with simple issues that only need general obedience training and she has worked with dogs with extremely serious problems such as aggression. Our volunteers and adopters call Kim, "The Miracle Worker". Dog after dog that would have been considered "unadoptable" have been able to find their forever homes thanks to Kim's training. As President of the rescue, I sincerely thank Kim and highly recommend her services to anyone that needs a dog trainer.

The Dawson Family loves Love Ur K9! Kevin and his team have done wonders with our dog. Since we've had Love Ur K9 help us train our beagle, our beagle can stay in down position for an hour, walk by our side with her head up on leash, and can control her howling. The best part about Love Ur K9 is that this team heavily involves the owners; they'll teach you about the training they are doing with your dog, so that when your dog comes home, you can continue to improve upon your dog's behavior!

I met DANIELE LARGO outside my bank about a year and a half ago. She had such a beautiful, uplifting energy about her. I thought she was so beautiful and happy, and I just wanted to get to know her. She has such an inviting demeanor; we just started talking. Somehow we ended up talking about dogs. She is a remarkable person and dog whisperer extraordinaire. We have three cute little white rescue dogs and have been putting up with a lot of mischief from them. We'd call one and he/she would turn and walk the other way; plus, two different dogs each thought they were the alpha! We had toileting problems, too much unwanted barking, they were impossible to walk, you get the picture. We love them so much - Jack, J.J. and Kate. We're planning to move sometime soon, and for so long I'd been thinking about what to do about our doggie situation. I knew I needed to do something - SOON. Sweet Daniele had been keeping in touch with me during the gap since meeting, but momentarily I had forgotten about Danielle's special talent. Surprise, she called me the next day! Since we started working with Daniele things have really changed around here. We see the changes as each day goes by. Joe and I have worked with the dogs in all the ways she has taught us and it has really paid off. Yes, people need to get engaged in the learning process along with their pets. We have learned so much about understanding dog behavior, an essential part of having a great relationship with your precious baby. Danielle is so in-tune with our dogs and the ways we all relate together, that she understands what's going on with all of us. They each have different issues and they all love Daniele. They are anxious to please her, and now they focus with us much better also. Each one has really stepped up and they are falling into line as a cohesive family unit. We already have less barking, less toileting problems, less jealousy, and more obedience. Our home is happier and calmer thanks to this special lady. We highly recommend her for anyone having problems with their animals, or, if they just want to have a better trained dog, or other issues. Daniele has also helped our doggies, and Joe and I to better health with the Protandim she carries. What a difference! She has so many great ideas that have helped us accomplish our goals, for our doggies and ourselves. We couldn't be happier that we engaged Daniele to help us. Call Daniele, she's worth more than you can imagine...you won't be sorry! With Gratitude, Carole and Joe Wike

Natalie loves animals. She treats my dog as if he was hers. She is a kind and caring person. My dog gets treated like family when he is in her care. She’s my only choice when I head out of town.

I began taking classes with Beth Harrison/A Paw Above last April. Six months prior to that, I adopted what I believed to be the most incorrigible, wild, uncivilized (approximately one year old) rescue dog I’d ever imagined. I’ve owned a number of dogs in my lifetime, so dog behavior wasn’t new to me. But he wasn’t housebroken, he ripped through the house, jumping on couches, beds and even kitchen counters, and tore into a window screen to gain access to the house. He chewed up everything he could find and I mean everything with the exception of his own chew toys (of course). After working with a trainer between December and February, I was able to teach “Blue” (lab/pit mix) some very basic commands and tried to slowly introduce Blue to another dog. Actually, he learned it all very quickly....and was remarkably obedient, until there was another animal (especially a dog) in his universe. We left that training with one MAJOR issue and it tainted every single day of our lives. I still couldn’t walk Blue anywhere without him pulling, dragging me and completely flipping out when he saw a bird, cat, lizard, squirrels, roosters (yes, there are some roosters in a yard that backs up to the city wash behind our house), and most especially “other” dogs. He would flip and leap and lunge and I could barely contain him. I couldn’t take him in the car because he would fly at the windows when he saw a dog on the street. He managed to free himself out of four or five different kinds of collars, including harnesses and head collars. He growled and whined and I was afraid he “might” hurt another dog as I was unable to interpret his reactions. Blue clearly needed the exercise, but I was worn out by the time 20 minutes had gone by. And if he didn’t get PLENTY of exercise, he tore up everything in sight....his bedding, water hoses, sprinklers, kitchen towels, shoes, socks, newspapers – EVERYTHING. I was beginning to fear that I could not keep this dog. I finally began calling around and met with three different trainers. I chose Beth and Azure from “A Paw Above” because of Beth’s confidence and her extensive work with rescue dogs and dogs suffering from abuse and neglect. I also chose A Paw Above because I was allowed and encouraged to observe classes (as many as I needed!) before bringing Blue. Beth assured me that she would help me, even just getting Blue from the parking lot to the door. Classes are generally focused on the dog with the most challenging issues and all the other dogs get to work on the lesson and/or how to deal with other dogs with “issues.” What I like best is that there is no “judgment” about a dog or an owner of a dog with issues. No “bad” dogs. The focus is always on how to help the dogs get past whatever their struggle is. What I also like best is that the first 20 minutes or so is "free play time," so they can release some of their energy prior to concentrating on a lesson or a command. Makes for fewer failures in the training process. Fast forward six months – though it is no longer “necessary,” Blue and I still attend classes on a fairly frequent basis. What a transformation, I have witnessed as Beth’s take on Blue was that he was not aggressive, but didn’t know "how to play," due to lack of exposure and experience. He now romps with the other dogs in class, we can walk in our neighborhood past squirrels and roosters and lizards with ZERO reaction. He still whines some when he sees a cat or dog, but no longer finds the airborne back flips to be a rewarding response, and instead looks to me for reassurance and the understanding that he can’t “have it.” Beth and Azure know their stuff and there are often other students helping out from the local Animal Behavioral College. Choose “A Paw Above,” for a well-managed, well-behaved dog and a peaceful life.

If you are looking for a reliable, professional dog trainer that gets you results, Ayumi is hands down the best in the business. Our little fur monster, Rollie, had social behavior issues when we first adopted him. After being recommended by a friend, we decided to put Rollie through Ayumi's program. I really wished I would've found Ayumi earlier. We discovered a whole new side of Rollie we had never seen before. The transformation is truly incredible. Thank you, Ayumi!

Her training was so helpful. I recommend her from my experience. My dog Craig , (Manchester terrier, male) had a trained by Natalie when he was 4 years old. Because he has a "hyper" personality, he needed a little discipline. I surprised how he changed after basic training. After Natalie gave him a basic behavior modification, his behavior has so much better than before. Craig became more calm, less barking at home, be able to walk with owner's pace when he walk. He also learned " Stay". Now he can sit and wait for his meal even for a 1minute ! He has been patient after trained with Natalie. She is trustworthy as well. I worried about relationship between dog and trainer at first, yet she was able to make good relationship. My dog trust her, and enjoyed training with her. Natalie gave us a great experience and knowledge.
