Lou was the hit of our conference! Each year we bring in our construction crews to review safety and other programs. As our keynote speaker, Lou held their attention and made them laugh; a tough task with this group. Very pleased and will invite him back.Jan 31, 2017Verified
Lou was great, especially walking around doing close up magic.Jan 17, 2017Verified
If I could give ten stars I would. Lou not only was a brilliant magician, he was witty, funny, and had the best attitude in spite of the difficult weather and roads in which he had to try and find us. Everyone really enjoyed his performance. Highly recommended on every level. The dancing dollar bill was a highlight!Dec 25, 2016Verified

- What types of customers have you worked with? There are three types of performances that I perform most often. The first is strolling close-up magic. Strolling magic is also known as roaming magic or mingling magic where the performer mingles from group to group sharing the experience of magic up close and personal. It's a great icebreaker to get people mingling and talking with one another. Perfect for the cocktail reception or social hour, strolling magic is close-up interactive magic at its best! Strolling Magic is perfect for cocktail parties, hospitality suites, wrap parties, award banquets, golf tournaments, wedding receptions, or any other event where a formal show would not be suitable. The second type of performance I perform most often is a formal close-up show. A formal close-up show is best for groups of 4 to 40 people. Usually performed in someone's home, my 45-minute close-up show is guaranteed to leave your guests delighted, bewildered, and amazed! Utilizing my world-class sleight-of-hand skills along with my interactive style of comedy, I will systematically weave a spell of elegant mystery and laugh-out-loud fun over your guests, making your party one they will never forget. A formal close-up show is the perfect choice for small gatherings such as birthday parties, anniversary parties, bachelorette parties, wedding showers, and holiday parties. The third type of performance I do most often is a formal stage show. For larger groups I offer a full 45-minute stage show. Usually performed in a banquet room, I can entertain groups from 40 to 4000. Combining magic, music, and comedy, your guests will be enthralled. Borrowed objects will disappear and reappear in the most impossible places, minds will be read using clairvoyance, and a snowstorm will be created before your very eyes. This is a highly dynamic show that will be talked about for many years to come. A stage show is great for convention dinners, award banquets, holiday parties, wrap parties, product introductions, installation of officers, and any other corporate or private event.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? One thing to keep in mind is that all entertainers are not alike. Sometimes it's like comparing a Mercedes to a Hyundai. Both cars have 4 wheels, a steering wheel, seats, and can get you from point A to point B, but the Mercedes will do it in luxury and comfort that is not possible with the Hyundai. Sometimes the only thing that matters to a customer is the price. They want the best entertainment at the cheapest price, but what they really should be looking at is the value of their investment. People are investing their hard earned money in an entertainer, and the payoff is happy, entertained guests and an event that will be remembered for years to come. My suggestion is to not base your decision solely based on price. Instead find the best entertainer that fits into your budget. Watch performance videos and testimonial videos from past customers. If a performer doesn't have both, that should immediately send up a red flag. In this day and age where almost everyone has a video camera on their phone, there is no reason not to have video of their performances. Ask for references and follow up on them. Lastly, make sure the person you hire has experience performing at the type of event you are having. Just because a magician has a ton of experience performing for children doesn't mean they would be the best choice for a corporate event, and vice versa.
