Christy pays attention to my strength level and my health condition on each session that we do. She has amiable personality, friendly, likes to share funny stories. But beware, she can push you to work very hard that you'll be sore the next day... Yet, you're gonna want to see her again and again because you'll really feel better and stronger. Before I started working with Beth, I felt like I had done everything I knew how to do to get my health, weight, and fitness where I wanted it to be. I'd waded through all of the conflicting information out there and done my best with it. I had counted my calories, exercised, avoided processed foods when I could, and while I made some decent progress I could never seem to get past a certain point before I'd get completely derailed and have to start over again. It seemed like everything I tried was unpleasant and unsustainable. I was clearly missing something and that's when I considered seeing a nutritionist. I heard about Beth's workshop "Cravings Decoded" from a friend, and from that presentation I was able to see that Beth didn't have a "program" she was selling, or a template system. What she had to offer was foundational nutrition knowledge that was grounded in facts, fad-free, and made a lot more sense than the factoids and tips I'd read in articles or gimicky diet publications. After a consultation I decided to sign up for her three month program, and it has been one of the best things I've done for myself. When I sum up what I learned with Beth, it was like starting over and being re-taught how to eat. I gained a true understanding of what you are doing to yourself, good and bad, when deciding what foods to eat. I can read food like a language, understanding the varied contexts, and can see through deceptive marketing with ease. I have new and better tools for dealing with temptation, I have the power of forgiveness for lapses so they do not become derailments, and what's more I have gained a true liking and appreciation for food that I once would have considered a chore to eat. Beth's process is a gradual one that both respects and challenges what you like and don't like. One small change at a time, many which seem easy but for the harder ones you have a great coach who really puts herself forward to get you through those hurdles. She also set me right on what amount and types of exercise I needed to incorporate into my routine to reach my fitness goals. The results from everything have been wonderful- I hit my weight goal, am on a straight tangent to my ultimate fitness goals, and all of the changes I worked for now feel normal and natural. In the past when I'd fall off of a routine I was trying, it would take a monumental effort to get back to it. I don't have that problem any more, because if for some reason (like the holidays) I eat unhealthy or if challenges with my schedule throw off my fitness routines, I revert back to it quickly because it's what's normal, and what feels right. I feel great in every aspect, I have changed the things I wanted to but didn't know how. I just needed someone to show me how, and that person was Beth.
Rande is very thorough and knowledgeable. She was very patient and did a full evaluation. Based on my symptoms she recommend a great course of treatment using supplements and gave me suggestions on other changes to make. I workout 5 days a week and thought that I was relatively healthy- Seeing Rande took me to the next level. Intuitive Eating is where it is at for me. I believe life is to be enjoyed while being mindful. Lisa has an important message: trust yourself. Find out if you are eating because of hunger or something else. If it is not hunger, one can go to the next step and figure out (not easy) what is it that is bothering them. I found out I eat out of boredom. Now, I try to stop. The only pressure in this work is to listen to your own voice. I hope everyone will do this work. Pamela is a wonderful Nutritionist who is very knowledgeable, relatable, and passionate! She had a way of making me feel very comfortable and at ease, especially when discussing the more personal areas of life. I'm new to writing a thumbtack review, but an expert at divining great services from other thumbtack reviewers. So I thought I should finally dip my toe into this world of posting reviews with a person offering services that I strongly believe in... Dev, of OMChef, has touched my life over the past 6 years. I met her through a word of mouth referral as I needed some prepared food while I was nursing my first child and I was hoping to lose some baby weight in the process. She would bring the most beautiful, healthy organic food prepared and packaged with a conscious. She completely educated me on GMO's, food chemistry, environmental awareness of our products and how to best nourish our bodies with the foods we love and some we learn to love. I lost the weight, but not my friendship and knowledge. Our paths crossed again almost 4 yrs later (this past year) when I was diagnosed with Cancer. You would think after eating healthier and paying more attention I wouldn't get cancer at 42. Well I got a really rare sarcoma in my soft tissue of my leg.. This cancer has nothing to do with the food I put in my body. With that said, I knew I wanted to be as clean and green as possible and have the support of Dev to provide nourishing meals for myself and family as I went through Chemo / Radiation / Surgery and recovery. She talked with me before I started this process and informed about what to expect. I first met Andrea about two years ago, to help me eat healthier and improve my lifestyle. She's been tremendous, and more importantly I've had results. I've lost weight, but I'm really proud of the way it happened. With Andrea, it's not about crash dieting. It's about choosing the right foods, and the right portions. I used to eat Fast Food almost 10 times a week! But I have pretty much stopped completely, and definitely no more McDonalds.
