Latest Review: I have taken jazz piano lessons with Clifford for 3 years. He is knowledgeable regarding both jazz and classical music, with formal training and performance experience in both. He helped me with technique, theory and approaches to jazz material that I was playing in separate jazz combo classes.

Latest Review: I had studied piano as a child, and I began to play again after I retired. When I moved to Walnut Creek I transferred my piano lessons to Martin. I found that his lessons were much more comprehensive than my previous teacher's. In addition to helping with the basics, he teaches more subtle aspects of interpreting each piece that results in greater musicality than I had achieved before. Although this is more demanding, he is very supportive and encouraging, and I look forward to each lesson.

Latest Review: David has been teaching our 12 year old to play piano for a couple years now, and what I love most is how excited our son is to come home and practice what he learns at David's lessons. David not only teaches how to read music and how to understand and play chords, but he also makes it easy and fun for his students to generalize the concepts they learn and apply them in a variety of musical settings. Our son is even talking about forming his own band! David's Piano School rocks!!!

Latest Review: I absolutely LOVE working with Michael and learning guitar from him. I've tried many times to learn before, and it's never quite stuck. Michael has a way of making difficult concepts seem easy and I'm finally able to grasp music theory. It's always challenging learning something new because I (as I'm sure a lot of people do) feel silly when I mess up or a little dumb if I don't do something right, and Michael makes me feel comfortable and able to make mistakes and try new chords or scales, or whatever it may be. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Michael if you want to learn guitar or just improve your skills!

Latest Review: Eteri was my teacher for 10 wonderful, amazing years! She introduced me to piano from the basics at the age of 8, and I fell in love with playing piano ever since then. Not only does she build a strong musical foundation for her students, but also she will truly inspire you to reach your full potential in terms of technical abilities and performance. She's great at encouraging students from the youngest age with games, stickers, prizes - which is so important when children have a short attention span. As I got older, I truly came to love music and piano thanks to Eteri's own love for music and the great satisfaction I got from mastering pieces that were more and more challenging. I am so thankful to Eteri for encouraging me every step of the way with her guiding words and dedicated attitude. She truly gave me a gift that will last a lifetime!

Latest Review: We have been working with Ms. White since January 2016. My boys, ages 6 and 7 walked out of their very first lesson knowing “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and this quick, concrete “take away” gave them a sense of excitement and confidence! Ms. White is very thoughtful with her instruction. She has realistic and responsive goals--like helping accommodate a variety of sports seasons and understanding the difference between her student’s temperament and attention span. She has nurtured an intrinsic and age appropriate interest and exposure to the world of piano playing. My boys pick up and play piano on their own and they love teaching their father and me their new skills. I would highly recommend Ms. White for piano lessons.

Latest Review: As an older newbie to the piano along with some medical challenges, I was somewhat apprehensive about taking lessons. I have had some piano training previously, and never thought that I would "ever get it." After only a few lessons with Keith, I am already beginning to feel more confident. Keith is a very gentle soul. He is incredibly patient and understanding, and always seems to find a different way to explain something if I don't get it the first time. He mixes music theory along with basic exercises, and of course songs to give me a very comprehensive lesson. His hourly rate is extremely reasonable. I feel very comfortable with Keith and I find myself practicing more than I ever did before with other teachers.
