Both Vin and I had busy schedule so it took a few days before we can first meet face to face. Vin took a lot of effort to accommodate my schedule. After we discussed what I'd like done, he got it scheduled and got it done before i knew it. I'm expecting to have Vin maintain my front and back yard for a long time.
Had some rot around the side entrance to my garage. I could see that it went beyond just the door frame. Working six days a week made Sunday the only time I could be around. No problem for Fred. Came over punctually, had all the necessary tools and material ready to go. We had spoken about the job in length before, and so he even had a new door ready to go on the first trip out. Replaced the door, frame, and a portion of the mud sill. He did it all from the inside, so there was no extensive repair on the siding. He had the whole thing done in about 4 hours. He was going to come back once the sheetrock mud dried and finish painting the wall and trim, but he had already saved me so much time and money I felt guilty. I like to paint anyhow, so I just did it myself the next day. Great job!
My 1300 sq ft deck refinish did not go well. They did a lot of work to power wash and prep the deck, but it just wasn't a complete job. Areas of old, worn-out finish remained over most of the deck. The new finish was applied and puddled over these areas and either formed dark, shiny areas, or just skinned over and refused to dry after more than a week. The lifetime of the finish in these areas will likely be poor. In addition, as a first "trim" operation they applied finish to the inch or so on either side of the gap between boards, then they applied finish over the boards with a roller. Unfortunately, this ended up looking pretty bad on most boards in the deck, with the edges of the boards being dark/shiny/sticky and the middle being light. Finally, some agreed upon board repair work was not done. My wife gave him the final check while I was at work so I didn't have a chance for a final inspection. My mistake. This was in no way a professional quality job. It's hard to imagine that Big League didn't know this was a mess when they finished, and they have not responded to my contact attempts to see what can be done to make this right.
Eduardo has helped me with many projects, including painting and restoration for over 3 years now. He is competent, hard working, and always pleasant. I think it's because he genuinely enjoys and takes pride in his workman. He's honest when he doesn't know how to do something but will advise on necessary repairs if he sees a problem. Recently he found sitting water in my gutters when he was cleaning it. My gutters are on the second story (so I would never have seen it), but he recommended that I find a professional gutter service for installation of more down spouts to address the problem of sitting water. I like that he knows his skills and is honest about what he is best equipped to do. Eduardo has helped me with projects both large and small, from hauling to small electrical repairs, from landscaping to painting... He always charges a fair price and makes time for last minute projects by squeezing them in after work hours or on the weekends. I trust him and highly recommend him.
We hired Sam from life time remodeling with his crew to do a complete kitchen remodel. In the meeting Sam recommended a kitchen design that we like a lot. And it turned out to be fantastic just like I wanted. Between my job and this job he made the entire process very easy and seamless for us. I decided to have the remodel done while I was part time traveling overseas. A friend of mine told me we were crazy to have the job going when we were not there to check on it, but because they have a app that I can see all the time updates from process of the job i decided that it is fine and I went. the app they use is very easy to use it fits a construction company in Silicon Valley, that is one of the reasons why I am so impressed with this company :). Turners out, it worked out great Sam's crew did the job and moving along he sent me pictures from the job site to make sure I'm fully informed in all the details I returned to an almost-finished kitchen. The quality of the work and attention to detail was excellent. The team was conscientious about confirming the details with us before each portion of the job, making sure that each decision was agreed with me and were clearly careful in their work. Sam's crew was friendly and pleasant to have in my home with the kids. I decided the last minute to paint the entire interior house during the project, and asked Sam if he could book movers as i was overseas. Rather than hire movers Sam's crew packed up our entire house themselves, moved it to the garage, then moved it back just in time for my return!!! I thought for sure something would get broken but everything made it back upstairs in perfect condition. They even set out my son's toys for him to find when we got home which was much appreciated by a jet lagged preschooler. It was a small thing but showed the care and respect the crew has for their clients. I'm very pleased with the resolute on the paint and kitchen. I would not hesitate to use Sam or anyone from his company life time remodeling again or to recommend them to anyone :).
Yuri did a fantastic job installing built ins around our fireplace and fixing our skylight. Great attention to detail, easy to communicate with, cleaned the spaces better than we clean them normally each day before leaving. I would definitely hire him again.

Kirk recently did some repair work and a parking lot asphalt repair/sealing for my apartment building - Kirk's prices are very fair and he is extremely dependable; he provided updates every step of the way so that I always knew what was going on. When bad weather struck near the end of the asphalt work his team put in the extra effort to reseal, clean up, etc. and finish the job properly
Ezra did a fantastic job in and outside our home. A few years back he painted the outside and trim. I wasnt sure about the colors so I told him to just go ahead and make a decision between a few colors that we had previously gone over. To this day people stop at my house and ask what our outside paint color is. he obviously picked a good one! Then, most recently, Ezra painted our babies nursery and new doors and trim. The nursery was complex with multiple colors and stripes. Ezra did a beautiful job and was very clever about how to get straight lines when working with multiple colors. Anyone who looks at our nursery just cant believe how beautiful the paint looks. Lots of people think its wallpaper at first because the lines are so perfect. The doors and trim look beautiful as well. Even though they are a more simple job with less artistic needs, they still turned out clean looking and without any flaws. Ezra is more than just a painter, he is an artist. He has great artistic and visual capabilities and knows his paint well. He is great at giving color and artistic advice. We are hoping to have him refinish our cabinets in the future. The Good: Ezra does beautiful work, he is reliable, clean, trustworthy and efficient. The Bad: His work is so desired that he is a very busy man. Dont expect to hire him and have the work done that week. His time takes a bit of scheduling, but when he is given a deadline that he agrees upon he will make sure to meet it. I would definitely recommend hiring Ezra to my friends and family.
