Kim is awesome, she worked with me to accomplish what i wanted to on guitar, and I feel like a better player even though its just been a month.Feb 8, 2017Verified
Have played with many different guitar teachers through the years, but I've finally found somebody with Kim that has really advanced my playing to the next level. She shows you how to use different techniques or fret knowledge to real playing applications. I finally feel comfortable playing in different situations and knowing how to sound like I know what I'm doing. Can't recommend her high enough.Jan 22, 2016Verified
Very informative, knowledgable, and a great listener and ambassador of all facets of music. Multi instrumentalist that can take you anywhere you need to go contingent upon your skill sets. She made me feel confident in wanting to continue learning about guitar for the rest of my life. Her studio is rad.Jan 14, 2016Verified
I've taken weekly lessons from Kim for the last eight years. Kim is accomplished, very well educated (meaning she knows her stuff!), an amazing player herself and a great teacher. My playing has come a very long way over this time. I couldn't recommend her more highly as a teacher or a human being. I must point out it pains me to see someone who has never taken lessons from Kim (Oscar V.) give her a one star. Having taken lessons from Kim's home studio and remotely via Skype I've never for one moment felt anything but comfortable. Might I suggest guitar is about the playing, not about the room you're sitting in.Jan 14, 2016VerifiedKimberly A.'s reply
Thanks Eric!! The good people at Thumbtack removed that review, because it was basically and advertisement for another teaching studio.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer discounts for more than one lesson per week.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I focus on personal development on a daily. My combined instrument practice is 4 hours/ day. I feel I need to practice what I preach. Getting better as a player is key to getting better as a teacher.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?As much as I like gigging, I felt something was missing. I decided that I needed to give back some of the knowledge that I have acquired from other great teachers and real life experience.
