After visiting in meeting with a couple of other marriage counselors in the recent past I can honestly say that dr. Lake was a breath of fresh air. In searching for a marriage counselor one looks for someone who is unbiased and open to both parties man and woman; and that is exactly what we found in Dr Lake. Our first meeting proved that he was wanting to know each of us as an individual, our feelings our thoughts and what we wanted. And that is what he bases his valuation and sessions off of. Highly recommended from husband and wife. Tony C
I had my doubts about getting marriage counseling, but when I started going to Michelle she proved to me how helpful it really is. So much that I think every young couple needs coaching in order to avoid serious relationship issues in the future. With her loving sidekick/spouse helping out, it provides a male and female aspect of each situation that comes up. Overall, Michelle is a great, caring person that will provide you with positive energy, motivation, and useful resources for life (not just marriage counseling). Coaching or no coaching, it's always nice to be blessed with the presence of such a person in your lifetime.
Helped with Relationship Counseling. My girl friend and I were going through a difficult time. We heard from others about the benefit of choosing a life coach over a MFT or a Psychologist. Our problems were communication about here and now. We didn't want to have to spend so much time individually sitting in "couch therapy " with a psychologist. Patti gets right to the underline issues. Her experience in this field is second to none. Our relationship including that of our teenage children that each of us has from our previous marriages has gotten so much better. Everyone in our family has benefited from we call her " our life coach" She is so easy to talk to. My fear and anxiety trusting to talk to someone with our issues went away the moment we met her. Our relationship has never been better thanks to Patti
So far things have been really good. STEPHANIE is amazing. She had helped me save my family and marriage. I know we still have a long road ahead of us but with Stephanie's guidance I'm sure that my wife and I will be able to work things out.working. Stephanie has been a blessing. I look forward to continue working with her. I would highly recommend her to any couple that's having a difficult time
Brian has been blessed with a special gift. My life and relationship were in such shambles I didn't know where to turn. Through Brian's guidance I was able to remove myself from a toxic marriage with love in my heart. There are no rules that say you need to be friends with your ex but my ex husband and I are currently beginning our stages of healing and kindness with open communication and love. This probably would not have been possible if not for Brian's help.
Ross has guided me, enlightened me, and enriched my life in many areas. He has served as my spiritual teacher, my yoga instructor, my family counselor, my instructor and facilitator in six different classes, and an officiant at the memorial service for my niece. In all these areas, his commitment to excellence, his personal touch, his research and intelligence, and his loving care and concern come shining through. My life is tremendously richer because of his impact.
We couldn't possibly praise our experience with WIll highly enough! Will has tremendous wisdom and insight. He has a revolutionary approach to marriage counseling!
Cindy is a warm and caring therapist. She is able to connect quickly to a client and provide empathy and support. Cindy assists clients with a variety of problems and struggles. While working with Cindy, I discovered that she is able to utilize a wide variety of skills and knowledge to create meaningful and positive change in the lives of her adult and youth clients. I strongly recommend Cindy as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
After months with several disappointing counselors, we found Dr. Jeanne. Her approach is impressively different for 3 reasons: 1) she got to essence of the issue -- quickly went beyond the "superficial layers" and discovered the "issue behind the issue", 2) she is extremely fast -- after every session we experienced immediate, significant shifts and although sometimes this stuff can be difficult, she made it palatable in a way that both my husband and I appreciated 3) she does so much more than marriage counseling -- after we got through some "big" issues, she coached us to resolve a number of important business issues that we have been struggling with for some time. But the bottom line is that I can honestly say, that she did in fact help us save our marriage. The fourth nice sugar on top is that she has a very soothing and calm manner, making the difficult issues that are so hard to face, more palatable and easier to approach. I highly recommend her, she will save you considerable time, pain and money -- and most importantly, she gets results.
I have been to many marriage therapists and while my marriage unraveled right before Dr. Price, she genuinely cared for both of us and without her I would not have been able to make it through this. Her understanding is coupled with exceptional education and enough heartbreaking experiences in her personal life to truly be both empathetic and guiding. Linda is truly one of the rare councerlors who could save your marriage if gone to soon enough and will help you save yourself and family if too late. I have referred many couples and individuals to her and ALL have sent glowing reports back to me.
So happy I found a therapist that understands what I go through. Dr. Maxine your great 😆
Ayamanatara performed our wedding in September of 2009. She paid meticulous attention to creating a day that fully incorporated our hopes and expectations as well as being representational of the community we were creating with our newly formed circle of friends and family. We received a multitude of compliments from our guests on the ceremony that she performed. We will always be grateful that she was such an integral part of our marriage's beginning.
Matthew and I knew we wanted to marry and blend our families. When we found out we were able to have the older children live with us, we felt it would be better for our family to solidify with Marriage. We called on our friend Victoria, as an ordained Minister, she understood us, and knew we were committed to each other and our family. Victoria married Matthew and I in an intimate, touching ceremony where we had our first date. Victoria touched on reminders for us of love, commitment and God. We are so thankful she was there for us in this exciting time of our lives. Thank you Victoria!!
Pastor Jim Gaffney made our wedding day awesome! He was genuine, mindful of our needs and the needs of the guests, and brought God into the ceremony! In addition, premarital counseling with Jim was crucial to our marriage. Jena and I know exactly what we were getting into!!!
Jennifer has been the best outlet for me and my daily stresses, helping me cope with work, family, and relationship stress. She understands cultural pressures and shows compassion with my issues. She always on time and gives me the full attention of the hour. She is also very flexible with my schedule. I would recommend her to anyone.
Rachel is very warm and inviting. She was prompt in responding and was able to schedule me right away. I would recommend her to my own close friends and family!
I started seeing Todd Spath in January 2011, when my life was unraveling. I suffered a nervous breakdown and I was diagnosed with severe depression, generalized anxiety, PTSD, suicidality, and self harm. Todd helped me to uncover the sources of my symptoms that had caused me a lot of pain and grief throughout my whole life. He has helped me and my family through many very difficult marriage and family challenges. It has been a long road back to recovery, but the journey has been well worth it. Having Todd as my therapist has been a great blessing and he has made my journey much easier. Todd has such a great heart to serve people, which shines in his ability as a Marriage and Family Therapist. He is very patience, empathetic, witty, creative, and wise. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a Marriage and Family Therapist.
In aproximately 2003 my husband and I were counseling with Mark. We were desperate for help, understanding, and relief. We literally felt something destroying us inwardly, confusing every thing we believed in. This one thing we could not overcome was killing our marriage. After searching books, talking to other counselors, going to marriage conferences.... really we couldn't quite put our finger on it or get to the root. However Mark was discerning, compassionate, non judgmental and real. He was able to help my husband let his guard down and be honest, open and willing ;by the power of the Holy Spirit working through him. We did counsel for a good several months but it was do to my husbands unwillingness to be completely honest in the beginning. I will never forget that evening when my husband returned home form what may have been one of their last sessions. I was nearly afraid there was such a notable difference in his eyes and his tone of voice and his entire demeanor. He was calm, he was changed, transformed he was peaceful, He was free! The shame, the guilt was gone. His eyes were clear , His heart was lifted. I had my husband back in a way I had not ever known him. God really used mark to bring about a deliverance we never knew was available. This was 12 years ago. Of course like anything one must continue to do what is required to keep the results achieved. If we were talking weight loss , one would continue to eat healthy and exercise. Lets just say we can use some review it has been awhile now (13 years or more) and sometimes a refresher course is needed. I plan to contact Mark for a check up. I believe the Lord led me to find his business I did not know existed. At the time we counseled, it was more casual not a business. I am so happy to have found him after all these years. I highly recommend Mark as he is a great tool in God's hand to bring loving compassionate help to those hurting and bound up by their past and own short comings. Blessings to this business!

Sometimes, life just doesn't go the way we want. Too often, we find ourselves stuck in a bad place, leaving us hurt, lonely, angry or depressed, just plain out of control. Why is it that we do the things we dont want to do, and we dont do the things that we know are good for us? I provide a confidential, non-judgmental place to re-engineer your life. I will strive to help you experience growth from the pain of life and empower you to move forward, better able to face the inevitable problems that come your way. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you, to help you clarify what you want from your life and how to go about getting it. My primary area of interest is in working with couples, although I do work with individuals also. This includes pre-marital counseling, communication difficulties, recovery from affairs and sex addiction, and parenting together after divorce. In 2011, I've completed a certification in sex addiction therapy (CSAT®) through Patrick Carnes. The CSAT® program is fast becoming the industry's standard certification for all therapists who are working with individuals who suffer from addictive and compulsive sexual behaviors. I've received a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University and am a marriage and family-therapist-registered intern (IMF#64851) under the supervision of Curtis Miller, Psy.D., D. Min, MFT#31636. I am trained to use the prepare/enrich inventories, which is a comprehensive couple assessment tool for pre-marital counseling.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THERAPY Whatever your problem, challenge, trauma or pain, the power to change exists within you. I believe an effective therapists job is to support your shift, not to create it for you. Being with clients session after session, I find the persons who have positive movement are the ones who show up every week seeking collaborative solutions and try them out between sessions. Whether youre familiar with the therapy experience, or just hoping to find a place to provide some helpful solutions during a difficult time, I can help you make your desired shifts. Together, we can mutually create a safe space to discover new ways of looking at things and make progress toward your goals and desires.
