Katie and Shawn are fantastic! I contacted them with an odd request to help me put together a bikini competition posing routine. Katie was very open to doing research to learn exactly what I needed to do and she brought her partner Shawn to the lesson. We held the lesson at my private gym and I appreciated that they were willing to travel to me. The lesson went flawlessly and within the hour, I had confidence in my routine and felt that I knew exactly what to do. Katie and Shawn are very easy to work with and make the lesson very comfortable. I definitely recommend them!Nov 20, 2016Verified
I had someone else who quoted a lower price but I chose to go with Katie and Shaun (Sean?). Half way through the first lesson and I already knew I was getting my money's worth. My husband and I are doing a dance for charity and having a two person team doubled the amount of work we got done in the lesson. Plus, they are really good and easy to work with.Nov 16, 2016Verified
Katie and Shawn are the best teachers I have ever had, in any subject. I attended California Institute of the Arts and had some awesome teachers. Still, they are the best. It's the way they handle the fundamentals that set them apart. Think Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid, only for dance. I'm a beginner. I was not in the Cal Arts dance school. They instinctively can find your strong and weak points. Instinct, experience, enthusiasm, and hard work, I surmise. Anyway they made it doable for me. I appreciate it. A lifetime of dance for a small fee. We'll worth it.Sep 20, 2016Verified
Shawn and Katie are not dance instructors, they are miracle workers. They were patient, enthusiastic, flexible, and had tons of adaptability to my learning needs. I look forward to scheduling future dance lessons with them.Aug 20, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We teach primarily private lessons, and all the pricing is available on our website. You can buy individual lessons at $95/lesson, or larger packages for slightly reduced rates. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually both of us (Shawn & Katie) will teach the first several lessons as a team. It's useful to get the perspective of both a leader and a follower at the beginning, and if you're coming in as a couple, we can give both of you some professional feedback at the same time. We'll ask you about what you want to get out of your dancing many, many times, because as you learn more and develop your dance experience, that answer often changes. Mostly, we'll make sure you have a great time and head home feeling like a dancer (and with some homework to practice before we see you next!).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Both Shawn and Katie are extensively certified through several major dance organizations (Arthur Murray, Fred Astaire, ISTD) and are registered with the NDCA (the National Dance Council of America). They have both studied under top champions and have trained with some of the best dancers in the world.
