I decided at the age of 18 that, even though I was older than the typical student, it was finally time to fulfill my dream of learning how to play piano. Now, after two years of being with Knauer Music School, I have to say its truly been amazing and Ive learned more than I thought I could in such a short amount of time. My teacher, Anjela, helped me reach my full potential and my own personal goal; she was always so understanding and helpful, regardless of the situation. Even though I felt nervous at first starting lessons at my age, I never felt out of place because the staff-- especially Robbie and Ben--always made me feel warm and welcome. I would definitely recommend taking lessons with Knauer Music School--I couldn't have asked for a better experience;!
My daughter is very happy with Pierson as her piano teacher. It is a pleasure working with him. Has the right approach to make the lessons fun and engaging.
My daughter has had three lessons with Kristi thus far. Kristi comes to our home which is convenient. She's very affordable, always punctual and has a great teaching demeanor.
Michael is terrific! We were looking for a teacher to work with our 8 year old son while we were visiting LA for the month. Michael is amazing at inspiring and engaging our son. Our son was so excited after his lesson we happily booked Michael for 3 lessons a week for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend!
My daughter likes Tasha very much. Her improvement on violin is very visible.

Over fifteen years I have become experienced in many styles of music. Starting with guitar, I then focused heavily on singing through choirs and my own accapella group. When I was 16 I traded my bike for a drum set and have been playing ever since. Keys came after that. I have been playing in bands since i was 12 and writing my own music since I was 10.
I am available for one-on-one lessons or for small group (class) sessions for all levels -- novice, intermediate and advanced. My workshops consist of interactive lectures and hands-on instruction in various fiddle styles including bluegrass, old time, country and western swing. Discussions about the history and development of fiddle styles are also included focusing on technique. Q and A is encouraged. Students should have at least a beginner's skill level. I offer school programs for preschool through high school. These consist of lecture, demonstration and interactive lessons. College programs consist of lecture, demonstration and performance. The lectures may cover the following: * history of traditional fiddle tunes and their integration into the American musical culture * tunes and styles as they were adapted from Scottish, Irish and other roots and incorporated into bluegrass * development of traditional fiddle music as influenced by other musical genres, such as blues, Cajun, cape breton, jazz and big band and variations in styles as fiddle music became an integral part of bluegrass music * non-bluegrass fiddle styles such as Cajun, western swing, jazz, blues, acoustic swing, folk, rock and country genres * discussion of such iconic and influential artists as Stephane Grappelli, Joe Venuti, Vassar Clements, Benny Martin, Stuff Smith, Johnny Gimble, Bob Wills, Jean-Luc Ponty, Tommy Jackson, Buddy Spicher, Bobby Hicks and Kenny Baker I also offer residencies and camps. Experience! I have played the guitar professionally for over 50 years and the piano professionally for over 40 years! My passion is to spread the enjoyment of being able to play a musical instrument and all that one may gain from the ability to do so. I don't expect everyone or anyone to be a professional musician; that is entirely up to each and every individual. I just enjoy watching those who wish to be into the wonderful world of being able to create music... and anyone can be involved! There really is nothing like it!
