I recently started guitar lessons with Paul. He is knowledgeable and talented and makes it easy to learn by starting with the basics. He took time to find out what I am hoping to gain through lessons and uses this as a basis for his teaching. I highly recommend him!

Sid gave guitar lessons to my daughter (14). He was recommended to us by a friend who has a 12 year old son that Sid taught. He is a great teacher and I can tell he is good at relating to kids of all ages. It is obvious, Sid has an appreciation and a passion for music and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I've had four lessons so far with Steve, and I am so pleased with how it is going! Steve is very skilled, patient, kind, punctual and professional. He responds to all my questions, and is very encouraging. He comes to my office in Pasadena to give me my lesson. I find that the biggest challenge in learning something new, is keeping my own internal critic under control as I struggle with note reading, and learn how to play the guitar. The fact that Steve is so patient and never critical helps to offset my internal critic. I have felt self doubting in the first two lessons, but by lesson 3, I am confident that if I keep practicing and working with Steve, eventually I will get it. Steve also shared info re his Taylor Mini guitar which is much smaller than the typical guitar, easier for me to play because the frets are smaller for smaller hands. I just bought my own Taylor Mini, a beautiful instrument which also inspires me to keep at it! Steve is also introducing some popular songs starting in lesson 3, which also makes it more enjoyable. This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself, and I am very happy that I was lucky to find Steve. He's great!

Kevin is the best guitar teacher out there who gave me the tools I needed to go on to be a Music Major. He works with your goals as a starting or experienced musician and explains and helps with everything so well. He goes out of his way and really made guitar lessons a highlight of my day. HIGHLY recommended!

My son has taken guitar lessons from Patrick for over the past 5 years. During that time my son has developed such an ear for music, an appreciation for the guitar whether it be acoustic or electric, and has gained a tremendous amount of self confidence! Because he can really start jammin! Patrick has been an integral part of shaping the artistic & creative talents that come with learning an musical instrument! My son has definitely gained so much more than he even realizes over the course of those years! Thanks for help in shaping my son!!!

I have a five-year-old boy taking piano lessons and a seven-year-old girl taking guitar lessons. They love Annette, and they take pride in showing off their developing skills, which, I believe, is a testament to strong teaching and an encouraging environment.

Steve is a wonderful teacher. When I started lessons I had been playing for a while but I needed guidance on where to go from just basic chords and strumming patterns. Steve tailored my lessons to the genres I wanted to study while giving me exercises that would better my study no matter what direction I chose to go. We even started coupling the guitar lessons with banjo lessons! Steve is well versed in so many genres and instruments and on top of that, he is a friendly, patient and fun person who communicates well and is easy to get along with.

I wanted a teacher that could work with an older adult who not had piano lessons since childhood. After many years, I wanted to challenge myself by getting back into piano and I wanted to bring music back into my life. I was a bit nervous about making the commitment and about the time investment that would be required. I also didn’t know a good teacher so I asked around. Howard’s name came up. He was recommended as a patient and knowledgeable teacher that would do wonders with students. Howard’s approach is not the conventional one that I experienced as a child. He presents many types of approaches and uses lots of tools and techniques to build your skills and understanding of the structure of music. Now, I’m stretching myself to learn, remember and apply these skills and it feels really good! I actually enjoy practicing my piano. Now thats a testimony to Howard’s influence! If you are looking for a teacher that can accommodate your needs, encourage and inspire you, meet Howard and try him out. I’m confident that you will be very pleased with him as a professional and as a teacher.

I've been taking guitar lessons from Brett for about 5 months now, and plan to continue doing so for as long as I can. I'm 30, and just started learning how to play guitar this year. I was incredibly nervous about taking lessons as an adult, but Brett put me completely at ease from the very beginning of my first lesson. Brett's easy-going personality, encouragement, humor, and seemingly immeasurable patience make him an amazing teacher. I honestly look forward to my lessons each week, because Brett is so motivating and he always finds great ways to build on the techniques and skills I've learned from prior lessons. I can really tell that I've improved significantly since taking lessons with Brett. I also feel comfortable talking to him about things I'd like to learn-- whether it's just a new song, practicing scales, or learning how to improve on strumming or picking techniques. He's really flexible and tailors your lessons to your goals in developing your abilities at your own pace. Brett is also clearly very passionate about music and about helping his students learn and grow. There have been weeks when I've struggled tremendously in learning a specific technique or song, and he'll very patiently work with me until I've comfortably mastered it. Brett's heart is truly in his work and you can tell that it makes him so happy to watch his students improve and accomplish their goals. Moreover, Brett is an amazingly talented musician. I've seen him perform in Jazz, Motown, and Indie / Alt Rock groups (on both acoustic and electric guitar) and his skills on guitar are super impressive across a broad range of genres. It's definitely a humbling experience showing up for a lesson to learn how to play a simple Beatles Song after watching him completely shred on his guitar on stage at a show, but it's also so very inspiring! Plus, Brett successfully masters having the skill set of a rockstar without any of the pretention of one. He's definitely one of the kindest human beings I've ever met. I really can't say enough nice things about Brett. I'd highly recommend him to anyone learning guitar-- young or old, punk rocker or jazz aficionado, brand-spankin'-new beginner or skilled musician. There's so much you can learn from Brett and so much he's willing to teach and share with the world. Thank you, Brett!!

I have been taking guitar lessons from Brian for a couple of years and I am very pleased. I am in my late 50s and took lessons from several instructors and learned mostly power chords and memorized some riffs. With Brian I have progressed to a thorough understanding of the pentatonic and major scales allowing me to solo and improvise. Brian is very knowledgeable and adaptable to my learning style. He has incorporated other reference materials I have in addition to recommending references he is familiar with.
