My 9yo son takes drum lessons from Neil and loves him as an instructor, motivator, and great person he is. Neil is clearly passionate about drumming and keeps us parents up to date on how things are progressing, even bringing his own equipment to play along, learn, and have fun. I can already see (hear) my son's progress after a few months, and plan to continue working with Neil for many years. Highly recommended!

Kevin has helped me grow from not knowing how to play drums at all, to being able to play in a rock and roll band and knowing how to lead a band on drums. He has taught me technique and tools for creativity in my art. He is very patient and laid back.

I strongly recommend Diego as an excellent professor of piano, who really motivates students to develop their ability. He gave piano lessons to my older daughter for more than 5 years since she was in high school, until some months ago. I am very grateful to Diego for encouraging Almudena, my daughter, to find a way of expressing herself through music.

My son started taking drum kit lessons from Joe when he was just 10 years old. Thanks to Joe's patience, willingness to be flexible and inspiration, Chris has enjoyed a successful career in summer drum corps, high school marching band and he is now in college studying to be a music teacher. What I liked most about Joe was that he approached the whole person. He worked with Chris on technique, but he also had him learning to play a song form the first day. Plus, he gave Chris a couple of very short writing assignments that were really simply about encouraging him to explore other drummers and techniques - it wasn't graded or pressured. Note: Joe works well with kids with special needs. He is truly inspirational.

I have been taking jazz piano lessons from Brent for the past 8 months and I've really enjoyed getting to work with him. He is very knowledgeable on the topic of jazz. Every week we practice improvising over jazz standards and he plays along with me on the piano or sometimes drums of there is a kit in the room. Brent if friendly and cares about his students. Would recommend to anyone wanting to take drum or piano lessons!

Ward is fantastic! My 7 year old son was interested in learning to play drums- Ward gave him the space to explore his studio and all of the percussion instruments in there, as well as the structure to start to learn. We are thrilled!

I have been taking drum lessons with Eyal for two years. I have grown so much as a musician and as a person from my time with Eyal. He pushes me to practice and to love the drums, in a supportive, kind way. I can't thank him enough for how much he has helped me!

I have been with Otto for 2 months and an delighted with my progress. He is clearly a knowledgeable and skilled musician and teacher. He is building my drumming skills layer by layer. Each week I learn new techniques starting with the basics. As well, he shows patience and if I am puzzled he uses a different method to get the point across. I hold a master's degree and play another instrument so understand and recognize a good teacher.

Thanks Nate for the excellent lessons! Eric learned so much and was extremely confident transferring what he learned to his classroom band sessions. I chose Nate over Watermelon music because I wanted my son to be comfortable and have fun while learning. All of my son's 7th grade teachers are young, dynamic, engaging, and excited about teaching. Nate was exactly what I was searching for. He is extremely professional, knows his music, and is passionate about his teaching. I sincerely recommend him! Thanks again Nate!

        About

Have drum lessons with Bob Danielson, a seasoned teacher-performer. I've been teaching privately, beginners through professionals, for over 25 years. I am a professional drummer with a music studio in San Francisco. I'm well-versed in a wide variety of musical styles, have a long history in the music business, and a strong understanding of music theory, all of which serve me well as a drum instructor. Your lesson can be a half hour or one hour in length, it's up to you. For a beginner, for the first several lessons, I'll show you how to practice without a drum set, as you decide if drumming is for you. I have excellent references, gladly provided upon request. Thanks for considering me, Bob
