A few weeks ago my wife and I went to the Trinidad Fish Festival and there we met Cici outside the Massage and Day Spa. She was selling tickets to win a 3-4 hour massage and I was the fortunate winner! I have had massages in the past but this experience was completely different and unexpected. Cici is a spiritual and physical healer and has the incredible ability to help you focus your attention and to work thru stored physical and emotional "muscle memory" stresses using massage techniques and breathing. She has incredible endurance and worked with me, for nearly 4 hours, bringing my attention spontaneously back and helping me breathe through discovered deep areas of stress, while she was using her whole body to create a flow from meridian points out through my hands and feet. At the end of the session, I felt lighter and more flexible than I have in years. With continued sessions, I'm sure that my physical and emotional self can be greatly improved by working with Cici.
I offer various styles of yoga for private clients who are making efforts to overcome or ease various struggles in life. I teach yoga! I'm a certified 200-hour yoga teacher. I am certified to teach hatha and vinyasa style yoga classes. The focus is on riding the breath to create the movement and finding ease within the pose. My general focus is on building a strong foundation with the basic poses. I can teach 30 min, 60 min and 90 min classes.

My interests include the neuroscience of Meditation and Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep), Bhakti Yoga and Kirtan. I am profoundly influenced by and grateful for my teacher Shiva Rea. From my childhood on a farm in the beautiful South East of Ireland to the green Redwood Coast of California, I have maintained a deep connection to nature throughout my life. I became interested in social justice issues from an early age and have always had a profound drive to help others and make the world a kinder place. My first time to step onto the yoga mat was as a teenager when a dear family friend invited me to classes to help cope with stress during my final exams in school. My practice strengthened and became very important to me during my years as a high school teacher. Yoga helped me to cultivate balance and calm in my classroom and beyond. My life has been dedicated to education and I have worked with both adults and teenagers for over 10 years. I have a Degree in English and Sociology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Education. I am happiest walking on one of the many stunning beaches near where we live with my husband Bairn and our dogs Tank and Molly.
