Introduction: I do electrical contracting. I do all phases of electrical construction for residential and commercial applications. I have 40 years of experience of anything electrical - lighting, receptacles, ceiling fans, service changes from 100 to 200 amps, surveillance cameras, and taking the customer through the permit process if wanted!
I have also worked in postproduction sound and electrical construction for 38 years in the motion picture industry. I am licensed, bonded and insured! Hire only licensed and insured contractors!

Mike installed a 240v outlet in my garage for an E-car charger. He also rewired some circuits so I could have 120v - 20 amp in there for my power tools.
He knows the electrical codes: what size conduits and cables to use, grounding and GFI requirements etc. He did a great job at diagnosing old existing cabling runs to split them off for the 20 amp work, not always easy when stuff is in the walls. He thinks it through with his experience.
He was prompt, courteous, really fair priced and didn't nickel-dime like some guys do for every screw. And - to top it off - has some great stories about his early career !
He's got more work here when I am ready.

Mike did a great job at a reasonable price. He stayed all day on a complicated job running 220 from the other side of the house. His work product was very good; his attitude was professional. I found him to be honest, hard working and dependable. Even though he has only done a couple of jobs around the house so far, I trust him to do more work and will be using him again in the future.

I recently listed a home for sale and needed some electrical work done ASAP. I posted my project here on thumbtack and within minutes I received a response from Mike with Cody Electric. I setup an appointment with Mike to meet me at the property. He was there on time and took care of the problem in a matter of minutes. In my business, things need to be done on time and it is hard to find professionals that can be reached when you need them and it's even harder to find professionals that are familiar with email and text messaging which has become a major form of communication especially over the past decade. Whenever I sent Mike an email or a text message, I received a response back within minutes and sometimes within seconds. I was very impressed. If all of the professionals that I deal with regularly were half as responsive as Mike, my job would be so much easier.
