Introduction: 36 years of coaching on the Primary, Junior High, High School, Junior College and University Levels. The most important component that is truly special is building teams into families. With all the success we had (including the Foothill High School 1988 California State High School Boys Basketball Championship which we won and where the first team in the history of Kern County Basketball to win the State Championship) it truly was about the relationships that were formed and 32 years later we are still a very close family. I am currently the Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Basketball Program at East Bakersfield High School. I have been very fortunate to have coached some of the top players in Kern County Basketball History: Wendy Martel North High School and Fresno State University Chris Child's Foothill High School, Boise State University, New York Knicks ,New Jersey and Toronto Raptures Joe Turner Foothill High School University of Arizona and European Pro League Greg Dodd Foothill High School, Boise State University, European Pro League Arthur Charles Foothill High School and Boise State University Archie Wright Foothill High School and Boise State University Reggie Phillips Foothill High School, Cal State University Bakersfield (back to back national champions) Harlem Globetrotters Robert Roberts Ridgeview High School (CIF California First Team all state team Division 3) Alaisha Landeros East Bakersfield High School California First Team All State Division 5 Kanyah Patterson East Bakersfield High School California First Team All State Division 5 It's simple for me, I love to help my players reach their potential and succeed not only in the game of Basketball but more importantly in the game of life.
