Im proficient with ESHA Food Processor Software Industry standard for nutrient analysis. This software is used to evaluate patient dietary and fitness needs and to analyze nutrient intake.
I perform anthropometric measurements including skinfold, bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), waist-to-hip ratio, accurate height measurement and frame-size calculation. I utilize the RJL BIA equipment, which is the gold standard for body composition testing in the industry.
Im highly competent with MedGem Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) measurement testing and interpreting results. MedGem Metabolism Measurer and Indirect Calorimeter by Microlife is a handheld, portable indirect calorimeter that measures oxygen consumption (VO2) and determines RMR.
Props: I use over 100 Nasco Food Models to demonstrate portion sizes, types and variety of foods including an array of ethnic foods. Nasco Lifeform 20-pound fat vest is specially designed to allow patients to temporarily experience 20 lbs of additional body fat. Patients may slip into this garment for 10 minutes to experience some of the physical changes that occur with weight gain, such as stress and strain on the back and knees.
