I had the opportunity to have this awesome band play at my house party! They were really talented and played a really good mix of jazz and latin which was perfect for our guests. You won't be sorry if you hire this band:)

I’ve known Dave SIlva for about six years. During this time I’ve been able to get to know him well both professionally and personally. I first met Dave when he was a student in my music composition and theory classes at Chico State. He was always a diligent, responsible, and academically strong student, and his maturity and focus set him apart from his fellow classmates. I could tell at the time that Dave chose to make music the core of his life, and I recommended him for a few student scholarships to help him out with his studies. After Dave graduated from Chico State and joined the faculty at Chico School of Rock, my wife and I specifically chose to have him be a music instructor for our son, Jonah, who studied guitar and theory privately with him. During that time, Dave also started mentoring our son’s band via the Chico School of Rock’s excellent “Band Builders” program, which helps young people to gain experience performing in ensembles in professional venues around Chico. Dave has given an amazing amount of energy toward making this a meaningful experience for his students, and I have been blown away by his attention to detail, professional coaching, and beyond generous commitment to the kids involved. I’ve also been lucky enough to get to know Dave personally, and consider him a friend and fellow music professional. In my opinion, Dave has been a real asset to any community, both as a teacher, musician, and overall fine human being. I recommend him wholeheartedly for whatever ventures he pursues.

Rob and the Gold Standard band were an excellent fit from my company's conference entertainment. We needed a band that was "chill" the evening after the group enjoyed a day on the slopes and they fit the bill perfectly. Rob was responsive and timely allowing me to focus on other things during my conference. SO appreciated! I got nothing but positive feedback from my attendees and internal team.

Seth is a terrific teacher for both adults and children. Both of my children learn from Seth, one in a personal setting and the other in a band setting and both are thriving and loving playing their instruments. I am taking an adult rock band workshop under Seth's tutelage, and I've never had more fun playing music in my entire life. I look forward to each week's jam session.

A skilled and multi-talented musician, composer, and arranger, Jeffery has collaborated with me on a number of projects including notating some of my own pieces. I was extremely happy with the quality of his work. Additionally, he was the band leader and composer-in-residence for San Francisco’s beloved Pickle Family Circus and consistently wrote music of great charm and invention. Highly recommended.

I'm a beginner to guitar, having played a little piano and drums before. Been working with Chris for a few weeks now and it has been a blast. He's a talented musician who is connected to the music scene. I wanted a guitar teacher who was connected to the local music scene, and so I've really enjoyed working with Chris and even going to see his band perform. I also love how Chris walks through songs and is able to write out the tabs and chords on the fly, and then on top of that show me multiple ways of playing the same song. Highly recommend.

I am a bass player who has always played guitar here and there but nothing too serious, and about a year ago decided I really want to know the fundשmentals of guitar. A friend recommended Jacob Light, whom I've heard play before in local bands, and I decided to take the chance. I wasn't dissapointed to say the least. Jacob is a really down to earth guy who immediately understood my musical style and focused mainly on what I wanted to know, unlike other teachers I've had experience with. Even so, he knew what subjects to insist I learn, like improvisation. and scales. all this was done in a friendly, calm, cool yet persistent atmosphere which is just the right blend for learning, in my opinion.Soon enough I started feeling I really understand guitar, and this new kno'ledge even helped me with my bass guitar playing. Ive been taking guitar lessons with Jacon for 6 months and the only downdise I can think of is the fact he moved to California, otherwise I would have still take lessons from him, without a doubt.

Retro JukeBox was an amazing band. Easy to work with, played exactly the music we wanted, and made it irresistible to dance. They learned new music for our reception and transitioned easily from slow to fast and from genre to genre. Highly recommended!

Natalie has been fantastic to work with! Her instruction through exercises, general tips/suggestions, and specific ideas when working on a particular song has all been stellar and on point throughout my work with her. I feel like I have improved dramatically over the course of our lessons, and my band members have made several comments about my improvement as well. She has an uncanny knack for knowing what I am doing with my breath, diaphragm, throat, mouth, etc., and being able to suggest just the right adjustments to make things sound better and more comfortable to sing. Natalie is a wonderful person, too, very encouraging, supportive, and respectful. I highly, highly recommend her!!

This is long overdue. Funky Sound Experience Band performed at my husband's 40th birthday in Oakland. People were dancing all night. I am super impressed with them. They performed great songs. I wish I could have had them perform longer!

Mike's band is fantastic! From start to finish, I felt I was in good hands. Mike and his band did jazz music at the brunch reception for my wedding. All the musicians are highly experienced and professional. Their music was a true highlight, setting an upbeat, jazzy ambiance for all of the guests (including myself!). They accommodated my music requests, were responsive on messages beforehand, offered a great price, and were a pleasure to work. Thank you very much to Mike and his band for making my wedding reception so special!
