Introduction: Hi! My name is Harvey (they/them) (FKA Ellyn) and I have been walking dogs since 2015. I officially founded and built Best Buddy Dog Walks in San Francisco in 2018 and then sold it when I moved to East Bay in 2021. Now I am excited to announce that I am officially accepting new pups for Harvey's Hounds!
When choosing someone to care for your baby, you don't want to pick just anyone. You want someone who knows what they're doing. Someone experienced and insured. Someone you can trust to be on time, to be conscientious, and most of all — who really loves your dog and gives them the time of their life, every day!
I fully believe in positive reinforcement training, and am continuously keeping up-to-date with the most innovative and kind reinforcement methods available. I am also open to incorporating and reinforcing any skills you may be working on with your dog at home.
My favorite thing in the world is seeing friendships develop between dogs, and seeing dogs become more and more fully themselves through secure relationships with other dogs (just like humans do!) It's truly a joy and is magical to witness.

Our dog, Olive, was part of Harvey's dog walking pack when we lived in San Francisco and it was a wonderful experience. Olive always came home so happy and tired from the group excursions and we loved seeing pictures posted from the day. The pack walks were ideal for us because we wanted Olive to have more exposure to other dogs, both on and off leash. We knew Olive was well taken care of with Harvey and would be kept safe, hydrated, and entertained! If we lived in the East Bay we would 100% sign Olive back up with Harvey's Hounds -- highly recommend!

Our dog adores Harvey!!! They take wonderful care of him and are the highlight of his day. He gets exercise, has so much fun, socializes and returns home so happy. They have taken Bear out on adventures for years and we trust their judgement completely in terms of safety and dog happiness.

Harvey used to take our dog on pack walks in SF and was amazing! Our dog was fearful and Harvey was so patient with her and really great with all the dogs. Harvey would take Ellie one day a week and on the other days I would often see them. Harvey was always so loving and attentive to all the dogs. I would not hesitate to recommend! Anyone would be lucky to have Harvey look after their dog!
