FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My general fee is set at $45/hr. However, if you are seeing me multiple times a week, I can offer packages or weekly rates that lower the cost. If $45 is too expensive, I also offer a few sliding scale slots for families in need of assistance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a sense of a student's strengths first as well as the areas that need support. I want to build on what is already going well and help tie concepts together that make sense for a client's particular learning style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in school settings ranging from pre-school to high school. I have worked with students with disabilities and students in advanced-level classes. My background is in psychology, and I'm currently in graduate school to become a therapist. I believe working in ways that bolster confidence and self-esteem is key in being able to tackle challenges in the classroom. If a student does not feel like they can succeed, it is much harder to learn material.
