Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I provide creative teaching/tutoring, such as reading, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary building, writing, both creative and exposition, editing, proofreading. I am a Bay Area native, by longevity, not birth. I have a San Francisco State University BA in english language, most of the coursework for an MA in the teaching of composition and reading comprehension. I ran my own proofreading and editing business since 1986. I taught English skills at a local technical school for 6 years, reaching curriculum coordinator at that time. I changed jobs to local junior college to teach court reporting, English skills, formatting, proofreading, spelling, vocabulary, and later, ethics and law and extensive one-on-one student contact for ten years. I went to Santa Clara School of Law while working part-time on the second year and full-time on the third year. I graduated in the top 20%. I won the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in legal research and writing. I spent two summers as a research assistant in criminal law and procedure. I did pro bono legal work for seniors and continued working at the JC, when health issues required me to slow down. Since then, I've continued my proofreading business, making and selling jewelry, crocheting items for both sale and charity and other "Anne Made" crafts, creating a wonderful garden, baking and cooking, reading a lot, journal typewriting and pro bono legal work for the needy. I find myself itching to return to teaching. It's what makes me happiest. I love student interaction. I love creative problem solving and I bask in the glow of the lightbulb that winks on over a student's head when they get it. Contact me if you desire a more detailed resume.
