Great massage, responsive + quality of experience
My first massage with Stephen was such a relaxing experience. Afterward, I slept better than I had in weeks.
Sam is fantastic - she listened attentively to my needs and concerns and worked with my specific issues to give me much needed relief (including tips for managing my aches and pains going forward). She has an intuitive and healing touch - strong where you need it to be and nurturing where you need it to be. I definitely recommend her!
Good massage, caring provider, but little bit pricey!!
A dedicated professional...I have special massage needs due to two herniated cervical discs and he knew how to relieve my pain.
I'd highly recommend Shannon for sports massage - exactly what I needed. She's a great person too who made the experience very enjoyable.
Xavier is one of the most hardworking and dedicated trainers I know. I needed help with my Army Physical Fitness Test training, particularly with my two-mile because I had a huge mental block and never broke that barrier or dropped my time no matter what I did. I found out that Xavier had done extensive research prior, and there were many days we went over one hour but he did not charge extra. He is someone I would describe as not after your money but truly cares about helping you reach your goals, no matter the cost and extra burden on him. The special thing about Xavier is really what you are getting in his packages-- it's not just physical training, but a package that addresses all three things: physical, emotional, and mental. With my mental block, he took me to speak to his wife, who was professionally certified. All at no extra cost to me-- it was all on his dime. Why? Because like I said, he cares about the person and his/her goal rather than just making money. When I was injured or on the brink of getting injured, he was able to help me with physical therapy as well (he's a massage therapist) so I didn't even have to go to a doctor for that. (He really knows what he's doing with physical therapy and massage; I actually feel that it's his specialty). It obviously worked because I was somehow able to avoid all those close calls, recover from a strained shoulder and strained hip, and prevent further injury ALL while intensely training at the same time nonstop for the twenty days I had left. We definitely went over just one hour everyday but Xavier never said anything. I know what I was able to achieve earlier, and I had reached my wits' end with making any improvement. Today, saying I reached my goal is an understatement. I completely smashed my goal and broke a mental and physical barrier forever along the way-- by almost 2 minutes. Something I couldn't break by even a minute for NINETEEN years by myself. But only twenty days with Xavier and suddenly I broke it by not just one but TWO minutes in an already short two-mile run? AND somehow got over my greatest fear at the same time? That's what I call a miracle. Got above and beyond for everything else. At times I know I gave Xavier a hard time because sometimes I wouldn't listen to him or argued with him about what was right. But it doesn't matter who was right or wrong at that time because all that matters to me is the end result-- and I succeeded. Thank you Xavier!
Angel was easy to schedule an appointment. The massage was good, she focused on the area that needed the most work.
Anatoly Volokh is an outstanding professional masseur with incredible knowledge, expertise, and sensitivity of the human body. I was impressed with his healing hands, energy awareness, and respectful boundaries. As a professional dancer in the past, I've received many massages, and the Ayurvedic massage that I received from Anatoly left me so deeply relaxed and calm, that I highly recommend him!
Teliah is great! I'm used to teach massage and I know what to look and ask for. Teliah is professional, talented with various techniques and tuned in to the tissue beneath her hands.
I have a lot of chronic muscular issues and have tried a number of massage therapists around the world. Bill is by far the best I've ever experienced, his approach is magical. I always leave feeling much better. I would highly recommend him.
Alex's bodywork/massage is unreal. He'll ruin your ability to go to other massage therapists, so be prepared to raise your standards really, really high. I really had no idea that a massage could do to me what he does, but he really is able to go there, to coach you through pain, emotional and physical. He's got such a presence, such a warmth about him, you'll basically want to pay to see him just to hang with him. I had a ton of back pain and wrist pain before coming to see him, I literally thought I had arthritis. Doctors told me I would need surgery. Turns out I just needed Alex, haha! I've probably received from Alex over 20 times, and each time is better than the one before. He's so present and attentive to what he's doing, I can't honestly imagine how he does it for upwards of 2 hours straight. I will be going to Alex forever, he's the best!
I hired Amanda as a physical therapist for my injured shoulder. She did one hour deep tissue massage for me. It was a diligent work on my shoulder with right amount of pressure. The pain relieved immediately after the massage and my arm can move in a much wider range painlessly. I will definitely hire her again.
Reynda is an excellent therapist! I always feel comfortable to relax and unwind during my massage, and she follows up with problem areas I have been having issues with-even demonstrating useful stretches, exercises, etc. She is always prompt and professional. I would highly recommend her!!
When I arrived he made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The warm fire and the warm towels felt terrific. I would recommend him to anyone look for a good relaxing massage.
I love how Nate is so knowledgeable and always learning new techniques. I usually can only handle swedish massage because I have very low pain tolerance lol. But when I went in to see Nate I had so many knots around the back of my neck and so Nate proceeded to work them out. He was perfectly firm yet gentle and when it hurt too bad he immediately backed off. However after seeing him a few times I appreciate the firmness now and feel super relaxed and de-stressed after every visit. I know that allowing him to dig deep to do his thing, I'll come out feeling amazing for so much longer than just a swedish massage. Thanks Nate!
Jason is by far the best trainer that I have known. He is very knowledgeable about different exercises to incorporate into his workouts as well as physiology and diets. He seems to know just how much to push you without over doing it. Plus he makes workouts fun! To top it off, he owns a clean, very well equipped private gym near the Alameda beach which surpasses any others in the area. Plus he is trained in massage too. Do your self a favor and try him.
Great massage. Clean, professional. And a keen understanding of the Holistic Arts.
Alma is such a sweetheart! My energy healing session with her was so relaxing! I felt like I was receiving a massage for my body, mind, and spirit all at the same time. Alma listened to my goals and challenges with compassion and offered helpful tips that have allowed me to continue to stay grounded in my day to day life.
I have gone to Chiayueh for a variety of ailments over the years - from anxiety to running injuries - and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is an extremely talented Reiki master and massage therapist who has devoted her life to making people feel better. Chiayueh combines her background in Eastern holistic healing with training in Western massage therapy to form a practice that centers around long-lasting treatment of the body and mind. Most importantly, she truly cares about each of her patients and pours her heart and soul into her work. Make an appointment with her - you won't be sorry!
I was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome about three years ago. I've been living with chronic pain and stiffness all throughout my body for the past five and a half years. I tried everything...from chiropractic to taking a lot of ibuprofen to getting multiple massages a month. I saw a back and neck pain specialist (who diagnosed me with myofascial pain syndrome) but he wasn't able to do much for me. I've had painful lidocaine injections, experienced many sleepless and/or very painful nights, and have gone through two rounds of physical therapy. And nothing helped. I found Judith by doing a search online for relief for myofascial pain syndrome. I was very hopeful after reading many reviews on the benefits of myofascial release. I looked into the John Barnes method and decided this was something I needed to pursue. And I'm so glad I did! I have seen a TON of improvement from my treatments. This is the only thing that I've tried that has caused improvement in my body. Everything else I've tried didn't work and I felt myself getting worse and worse as time went on. So to have a treatment that is causing improvement that I can feel and that people can visibly see...it's amazing. I have no words for how it makes me feel to know that my body can be better than it has been. I still have a ways to go, as my body was severely stiff, but to know that this is working and to feel so much better every day is incredible. Judith is incredibly professional and I trust her implicitly. She always makes me feel comfortable and I have experienced so much physical as well as emotional release while in her care. I highly recommend Judith and myofascial release for anyone experiencing chronic pain and/or stiffness in their body!
