Holy crap, hire Giulia to teach you how to swim or to refine your skills. Giulia has a bright, funny personality that helped make swimming much less scary for me. I was an adult learner -- I could swim okay enough to keep from drowning, but I had a lot of inefficiency in my stroke and could only do the basic versions of the two I knew. I tired out easily, and I had terrible endurance. Not only did Giulia help me refine my swimming technique, she helped me stop sinking so much when swimming and made it fun. We used a variety of funny drills to work on my weak points and help strengthen my swimming muscles. Learning to dive was the scariest thing for me, and with Giulia's help (and lots of practice) I got it! After a few months of meeting twice a week, we got to the point where we were running straight drills to work on my speed! I never thought I'd be able to do that. Thank you, Giulia, for helping me become a competent swimmer!

We provide an at home service as convenience to you. We developed our training system with current swimming and fitness techniques, psychology, human mechanics, and physics. On average students over the age of 8 learn how to swim or see fitness results in 8 lessons. We are currently working to bring these numbers down.

Olga and her classes are the best. I sit at a desk all day and both the movement lessons and Pilates are excellent to get myself back in alignment. Perhaps most importantly is the impact outside of the classes. I have become much more aware aware of how I hold tension in my shoulders and am able to self correct before it becomes painful, I would recommend her classes to everyone!

About

I am a retired synchronized swimmer and competitive swimming athlete. I have worked with kids in the past to teach them how to be comfortable in the water, learn basic strokes, and improve technique. I love kids and have developed skills in engaging them in fun ways! My philosophy of teaching is simple. I teach water safety by building a loving, trusting relationship with students. I don’t teach “lessons.” I don’t force learning. I will be keenly aware of each student’s comfort zone. Your child will be proud to show you what they learn after each visit! I also will give you ways to practice in-between the lessons. It is preferred that the parent(s) are not in close proximity to the pool during the main part of the lesson. This is asked in order to promote independence for the child and to get them comfortable, alone, in the water. (Parents are welcome to be a part of the warm up and exist sections of the lesson). BASIC CLASS LAYOUT: -Warm up and introduction to pool -Breathing techniques -Game Time (get child comfortable with getting face wet) -Isolated movements (strokes and kicking) -Game Time "Crab Crawl" (get child to support body weight in water) -"Sleeping Beauty" (introduce back float) -Mobiles (implement bullet points from above to get your child moving in the water... time spent on Mobiles will depend on child's level of skill) -Jumping or Diving/Game Time/Cool Down -Goodbye (usually involves a closing mantra, chatting about what the child enjoyed most during the lesson, what their favorite water animal is, and lots of high fives!) -Exit and Homework (as child dries of I will give a detailed report on how the child is improving and what things they can work on in between lessons) *15 min Class: Ages 1-3 *30 min Class: Ages 3-5 *45 min Class: Ages 5+

I was in town to start a satellite office for my business and living in the Desert for 6 months. Working out in the apartment complex gym one evening I was doing planks when Flavia approached me and asked if she could show me something with my technique I immediately complied instantly improving the exercise! I was hooked and trained with Flavia for the next 4 months getting ready for a Mud Run that did work out for me. At the end of my training I felt if I could run not only a Mud Run but an all out Spartan Run! She even taught me how to swim properly! She knows what it takes to reach your fitness goals!

We've only had a first session of 30min - so, obviously, we're not swimmers yet! However, we can say that our confidence has increased and we're looking forward to the next lessons with Marlee.
