I found 3 Little Birds on Thumbtack and instantly fell in love with the way Jessica and Dustin communicated and worked with me and my fiancé! We hired them as day of wedding planners and got an initial meet &a greet, timeline meeting, wedding rehearsal and the day of. Here's what makes them 5 stars. Dustin is an absolute gem and has the creative view to help pull the wedding day together. He used bridesmaid bouquets as extra decor, reused ceremony flowers for the reception and helped with every detail including me asking him to move some things around when they didn't look exactly how I pictured them. He checked in throughout the night and was amazing! Jessica is everything you could ever want in a wedding planner and she is absolutely wonderful. Organized. Thorough. Great communication. But honestly the entire wedding day and night she kept asking me and my husband if needed anything. She bustled my dress for me, brought us appetizers and drinks and honestly made me feel like a princess. I had no worries the entire night! There are not enough words to thank Ricki! She came in and saved our day. We knew we needed a local wedding planner because we live out of state and arrived in California just two days before our wedding. Ricki had everything all planned and ready to go down to the last detail. She has a way of working with people as the neutral third party to make everything go smoothly so all venders are working together in a most congenial way. She worked with us, giving us the fairy tale wedding we imagined. On the day-of, she assisted with making sure everything was set up as we envisioned for this most special venue. BEST EVENT PLANNER, HANDS DOWN!!!! I hired Ingrid and her team last minute for decorations and event planning for a work party. By far, the best decision I've ever made. My wedding is in August, and I've went along and hired her for that event as well. She's proficient, efficient, and a visionary!! Her ideas are so thoughtful and personally organized! I am so impressed with her work and her expertise. She never ceased to amaze me. I got so many compliments on her flower arrangements and decorations that for so perfectly with the theme. I can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve for my wedding in August. Also, this wasn't the first time I've hired Ingrid for an event. I hired her back in November 2015 for my MIL 50th birthday party. Her husband and herself, arrived much earlier for setup and made sure everything was the way we wanted it to look, before hey left the scene. They are so professional and such hard workers. Nicole is amazing! I had her day of coordinator and she worked with me 30 days prior to the wedding. From then till the wedding, she made sure everything was set and came with me to any appointments necessary. She was AMAZING day of and made everything I could ever dream of my wedding come true. There aren't enough positive things to say about Sanaz. She is like that fairy godmother that you just want to have around to perfect and make pretty everything in your life, especially your wedding. She goes above and beyond for the all the details she manages. She literally keeps you on task from the minute you start working with her to the end of the wedding, and even post-wedding. She has an inclusive network of vendors and artists and she has a great taste in arts. She helped up to go through the whole process and gave us advice on choosing the right vendors. She also knows local artists. She introduces us to a ceramic artist for our favors and she made cute ornaments as our favors. I strongly recommend Sanaz for wedding planning.

Tawny was my wedding coordinator 8/11/2015, and being that it was my wedding, I just assumed that i would be completely stressed out even with a planner, but because of Tawny I did not stress at all and did not even once go "bridezilla"!!! Tawny is the epitome of professional, while at the same time being so personable that she will quickly become your friend. She strives to make sure everything is absolutely perfect, and in my case even better than i imagined. She really goes above and beyond to make sure not only you get exactly what you ask for, but she also tries her hardest to get you the best price and quality on everything purchased. I really can't say any more other than she is the best, and i will definitely be using her services again for my 30th birthday party this year! Karen is amazing! Words can't adequately express my appreciation of this wonderful lady. She did so much to make our event a success and to relieve the stress related to hosting a wedding. We hired Karen to be our "coordinator for the day" for our daughter's wedding. Even though the wedding was small (about 60 guests) and in our home, we wanted someone to help so that WE could be guests ourselves and enjoy the wedding. I did quite a bit of research before choosing and I'm so glad that we chose Karen. She has an infectious smile that puts you at ease immediately. She is also extremely professional and knowledgeable. She asked a lot of questions so that she would have a better idea of what we were envisioning. She had great practical ideas that helped with the flow of the event. We felt like we were in really good hands. When Karen arrived on the day of the wedding, she absolutely blew me away! I gave her a quick tour of everything that was happening and she just took it from there. It was like she was family and had been there a million times. She stayed two steps ahead all night and really made the evening stress free. She has a very unique quality in that she can take charge and provide direction in the nicest most nonabrasive way. When she lets guests know that it's time to move out to the patio for cocktails, or that we're ready for a toast, grand entrance, cake cutting etc. everyone listens and no one feels like they are being "bossed around". When guests left, she did so much to help wrap things up that I actually had to tell her to stop. She's so thoughtful. She pays attention to the smallest details and she really listens. I know Karen has done hundreds of events from large and elaborate to small and intimate. No matter what kind of event your planning, Karen will make it better and she will make your life easier! Where to begin! Ruby was a savior during my wedding events and was able to offload so much of my stress and attend to all last minute details I was unable to do myself due to time constraints. I was able to trust and rely on her 100% and she did not let me down she knew exactly what I wanted and needed. Ruby made detailed timelines and checklists for all my events. She helped me plan and execute my wedding ceremony and it was perfect. She was able to offer me affordable vendors for photography, wedding dessert table that had a beautiful fruit and fondu, icecream popsicles/kulfi with customized labels passed out during our wedding that my guest raved about how delicious they were till today, decor for my wedding ceremony, and she was able to offer me multiple options for makeup and hair vendors for my wedding party. I want to start off by saying that planning a wedding is no easy endeavor and despite how much I wanted to organize and execute every detail out between my fiancé and I, we both knew that we couldn't tackle a project like this without the help of someone. To give you some background, we were both living and working in South Korea while trying to plan a wedding in Los Angeles, Ca.     I first met Chanda when I was a bride's maid at my friend's wedding. I was impressed with how she organized and handled everything, very professional and also very sweet and attentive to your needs. When it is time for my own wedding in June 2014. I reached out to Chanda first. My wedding was a mostly DIY, I did most of the decorations my self with help of family and friends. Chanda was able to work from my vision boards, sketches and put those elements together as I imagined. She also helped coordinate with all our vendors on the day of, and trouble shoot when it's needed from a loose garter (lol) to handling an emergency (a guest fell into a water fixture) So, whether you need a full service wedding planning or Day of coordinator, I would really recommend Chanda.

    Lisa planned my Bridal Shower and it was amazing! I was more than happy with the way it turned out! My colors for the wedding were blue and pink and she made sure to incorporate them in all the decorations. The decor was tasteful and beautiful. No detail was left behind. She took the time to get to know me and what I liked, and made sure to include that throughout the party. The food was catered from a healthy and fresh company (so important to me!). She picked the perfect menu that was both light and delicious, ideal for a group of ladies. As the Bride, she didn't let me worry about a thing and got all my Bridesmaids involved. She worked well with members of my family in making sure that the event went off without a hitch. The most memorial part of the party was when she interviewed me and had previously interviewed my husband and recorded his answers on a little recorder. Everyone got a kick out of listening to my hubby answer the questions and seeing how our answers were the same and sometimes very different ha! At the end of the interview, my husband came in with a bouquet of roses. It was such a surprise and brought tears to my eyes. I loved the way she incorporated him into the event. It was such a beautiful day and definitely one I will remember forever. Thank you Lisa for making it so special!

    I needed someone who was trustworthy, honest, professional, and patient! kelly Ten Berge fulfilled all of my expectations. I met kelly through Thumbtack, when I was going through a difficult financial season. She was patient and kind in her attentiveness to my needs. After communicating with her via phone, email and text I decided she was the ideal event planner for my son's Couple's Wedding Shower. Kelly helped with finding the perfect venue which was held at the Lakewood Country Club, in the city of Lakewood. The event took approximately 3 months to plan and be executed. I can you tell Kelly never missed a beat. She did all of the telecommunications and became that middle person for me. I was so Blessed to have her, seeing that we lived hours away from each other. I was very impressed with kelly's services from the first time we met face to face. On that same day she said OK! let's get started and off we went looking at venues. I did not need to say anything, during that initial process I was just there for the ride... she did all of the enquires and collected all of the information need. Soon after I got the call from Kelly we have found the perfect venue for you special event. Kelly would keep me up to date and well informed about pricing, menu,decorations, capacity, cake, music, flowers, theme and so much more. As a matter of fact! I have a bit of a confession.... she made me feel like a movie star who had a personal assistant, I must tell you I was loving it!!!!! Kelly went over and beyond for me and we pulled off an excellent Couples Wedding Shower. Kelly was very on time with everything, if she was running behind with an answer for me, she would alert me with a text or a phone call... She sure knew how to take the stress off me. Nothing that was expected of Kelly went wrong... She gave an excellent services and I would not hesitate to use her services again as well as, recommend her services to anyone planning something special for themselves or a family member.     Valerie is amazing at what she does.       A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

      How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

      A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

      What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

      When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

      • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
      • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
      • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
      • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

      Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

      Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

      Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

      • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
      • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
      • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
      • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
      • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
      • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.
