Great job installing closet doors. He even found the doors for me so I did not even have to shop for the doors
Connie is absolutely fantastic! She helped me get my poor garage organized and decluttered. I've already booked her again to help me with my closets. High recommend!!
Advanced Builders and Contractors did stunning work on our master bathroom, kitchen and bar, and living/dining room area. They expanded the master bathroom, by taking out a closet, made a custom bench in the shower, created custom cabinetry with marble counter top and installed plumbing fixtures for us. They removed a wall to enlarge the living room area. In the kitchen they created an island. Lastly, they made a state-of-art custom bar! I had the pleasure of working with Sam from Advanced Builders and Contractors. Sam was a very adept project manager that was always a step ahead of the project. He has remarkable construction vision and analysis. He helped us design the most efficient and best layout for our remodel. Out of all the options we could have gone with, I believe we got the best possible solution. Sam was a great leader in the project. He was in great communication with his crew, and he planned everything wonderfully. The whole process with Advanced Builders and Contractors was a breath of fresh air. Since we were working with honest professionals, we felt relaxed during the whole project. Their quality of work was fantastic. They did not skip a beat the whole process and the renovation has left us smiling and eager to work with ABC again.
About a smooth and perfect experience I could have hoped for. Brian is great to work with and I am very happy with the closet shelving installation he did at my home.
I was pretty pleased with my experience with Lisa. She came in initially to help only with my home office, as I was preparing to increase my side business and was going to need to use it as an actual Office space, rather than storage. She in fact helped me with office, kitchen, closets and more. She came up with good re-purposing ideas for most of my existing pieces, and everything that I was holding onto that in fact didn't need to keep, was donated to the woman's shelter in DTLA (which she loaded up her own car with to drop off, and sent me the receipt for tax uses), Goodwill or donated to friends and co-workers (all good stuff, btu I just didn't need it all). She also was clever with how to organize items in groups and used my covered staircase (which I don't use) as a storage solution and put items like camping chairs up on the side walls to free up closet space in the main part of the house. She helped me declutter and rid myself of items that weren't practical anymore. We didn't do every single thing she suggested, as there's a need for compromise on some of the ideas, but I was overall very happy with how she helped me to better my home and items. She's got a tough attitude at times, but that's part of her job. She is there to help declutter your life... so take what she says as constructive, she's doing her job to help. Might be a bit tough to hear at the time, but she does a good job of lessening the CRAP most of us have. Haha! She is fun to talk with and comes up with plans for what you need and need to do once she's finished with the job and has goals set for what you can do on your own once she's gone, which helped me to keep on track and finish at the pace that I was comfortable with, like putting up added shelving in closets (which I needed help from my bf with), getting a more practical trash bin and more.
American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.
Wow George gave me a great quote for shaving 7 closet doors and putting them on track and to replace a toilet. The day scheduled to do the work, he managed to fix my refrigerator lines and repair a drawer as well as the closet doors and replacinh the toilet. He had to go look for some parts at a couple of stores and got the job done. We're very happy with his service. We will definitely call him again.
Very grateful for the professionalism and sensitivity with the challenge of sifting through 30 years of belongings.
We hired Craig to install bypass doors on a small closet. He provided a very fair quote, showed up when he said he would. Reviewed the site carefully And made good recommendations. Overall his work was high quality and he cleaned up afterwards. The doors were set just a bit too far forward, but when I pointed it out he offered to come back and correct it. We chose to correct it on our own. I debated whether to share my reason for not having him return. As a courtesy to other capable female customers, I decided to share the observation that his interaction with women is condescending. Clearly Craig has lots of good reviews and many people will not be bothered by this, but some will and it I hope they will find it beneficial to have this information in advance.
I called Handy panda and there was someone at my door in less than an hour to help me organize my closet and get rid of stuff. He hauled away 8 bags of donations and trash and now I can use my closet again! Will definitely be calling him back. So quick and professional too. 😄 - Tonya
Great experience. Tara did a great job on my closet :)
Muriel is outstanding! She can organize anything in any room. She is creative and brilliant with her ideas and she incorporates them efficiently. Muriel accessed my needs and intuitively incorporated her skills into just what I was looking for.
Steve and his team were great. Responsive, awesome job packing and unpacking. They made the moving process enjoyable or at least less painful. Highly recommend.
Scott did a great job on our house this past summer. He built us an outside patio, tiled it with stone tile. He also built us a new closet which we love a lot. He is cheaper than a contractor and does a perfect job. I recommend his talent.
Henry fixed all the broken hinges on our kitchen cabinets. His work was fast, excellent, and very reasonably priced. Highest recommendations!
My home was a mess, I have 2 kids and a baby on the way. Organizing should be a priority in this household but with a busy schedule and constant shifting of things it is nearly impossible to keep our home tidy. In stepped Audrey, she helped organize our 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house plus the garage! Her tone wi
Laurie and Rhonda were fantastic to work with! Rhonda arrived on time and immediately got to work. She is organized and works very hard. Because of the work Rhonda did at my home, I felt a peace when all the junk was cleared and the closet was organized. On top of all that, she was so sweet and kind. I would definitely recommend A Time to be Organized.
The Amaya brothers have been exceptional in several jobs provided to family and friends. These have included simple jobs for group camping all the way up to high-level craftsman work on historic properties and complex construction environments. I highly recommend them for all job consideration, regardless of scope of services in the building and construction space.
You did an excellent job on the entry door and our closet door very fast and good work I highly recommend him
