- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My package prices range depending on the distinct needs of the client, and are unique to each project I come across.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet them initially, before the day of the event, so we can get to know one another and talk about the details of the event and what they are really looking for in the photos. Telling the story my client is trying to tell is something that I truly enjoy being able to capture, and it involves close contact and mutual understanding of the vision, to bring it to life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I graduated from Brooks Institute in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, and continued taking workshops with industry professionals that pertained to my specific talents such as Steadicam operating. At first, I had enrolled in the Visual Journalism program at Brooks, but felt myself being drawn to the Film program after taking a documentary film class in my first semester, so I decided to switch my major after my first year from Visual Journalism to Film, essentially giving myself two experiences which has benefitted me in so many ways in terms of my skill set. I'm continuing my education currently in 2018 at Ventura College, taking photography classes to learn further studio styles and developing Photoshop techniques. I'm very grateful for all of the training I have received from my Brooks instructors and have been lucky enough to even still have a Brooks faculty member teaching me at Ventura College. The training and knowledge I have received from every single one of them has shaped me and helped me expand my horizons of filmmaking and photography. My experience in the film industry is also very much on-the-job training in a sense, because even seasoned pros still learn something new on set once in a while. For me, every opportunity is a chance to learn something new about my passion, something I would not have thought of or noticed if I had done nothing.
